I haven't been paying attention to the news lately. What is going to happen in 3 days?

Even when watching the tapes, you get too distracted with the ugliness of the tie to be able to focus on the face of the suspect.

Make sure to do bloodwork when at trough and also wait an adequate amount of time for E levels to stabilize after changing dose before doing bloodwork (I think 1 month is a minimum, but I don't know if that depends on administration method). Also stop taking vitamin supplements (I think ones containing biotin are the most problematic ones) 3 days prior to the test.

(Disclaimer: Not my field of expertise, just something I heard in other trans spaces) Isn't weight cycling a myth (and a potentially harmful one if you overdo it)? Because I think the fat redistribution depends purely on how fast your old lipocytes die (to be replaced in other parts of your body), which can't really be sped up AFAIK. Losing/gaining weight I think will just reduce/increase fat deposits across all your body, with no regard to location.

The path to fat redistribution is a healthy lifestyle and time.

It's supposed to be a day off, but as a prank they keep you working.

(not sure if this counts as discussing current struggle sessions, so freely delete this if it does, I just assumed since it happened months (or years?) ago, that it isn't current anymore)

I'm sorry for digging the issue up again, but I really forgot what happened. Since when are we federated with blahaj.zone again? Or did we never block them and it was only them that defederated us? I find it sad that we are separated from each other, but I also really don't remember what happened anymore. My brain tells me it had something to do with one of !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone's mods?

I think I saw that thumbnail on the trending page. It later was changed to show him roasting someone alive over a fire. Also not smiling.

my thoughts that mirrored this meme are so incredibly common that first year therapists in graduate school are taught this as basic training

I didn't know that. Neither did I know so many other people feel like that. Does that pattern of thought have a name?

What's the kind of stuff you do in a support group? Maybe I should join one too.

This comment I have written underneath doesn't add anything, I just wanted to share my experience in regards to cis obliviousness in the past days.

A week ago I started going out with a a lot more feminine appearance. I was in a waiting room with my sister, because we needed some documents signed. They called us up by saying "it's the two girls' turn now". They said it from some meters distance, so they probably couldn't see me properly, but it still felt great to be gendered properly in a public setting. It turned out we couldn't go in together, so I let my sister go first and then I went in after she was done.

Later she told me that while she was in the office she explicitly referred to me as her brother to "correct" them.

I have also been asking her a lot about hair care, skin care and depilation. However, three days ago I asked her what shop she goes to buy cosmetics, and we then had this exchange:

— What, like hair spray? — she shifts to a joking tone — Or are you asking about stuff like [popular lipstick brand]? Hahaha

— Heh. — I try to meet her tone, but don't want to outright lie or tell the truth. — I don't know....

There's an awkward silence for a few seconds

She breaks it — I don't normally do much with cosmetics, to be honest, so I don't have an answer.

It would somewhat weird to bring up american politics with her, but I think your idea of bringing up some adjacent contemporary topic to be great. Thanks!
