The previous method actually allowed both users to play online/multiplayer games together, so this is still sort of a downgrade.

Hm, I think that's what Ctrl + Meta + Esc* does for me on KDE? Unless there's more to x-kill than just killing windows/processes with a mouse click.

I dunno about going down entirely, but bits and pieces (like SMS verification) definitely broke while they were undoing work and cutting "expenses" (like office leases)
Ha, in their defense, half the fluff they put on those bills are for anti-counterfeit measures
"But I only use twitter for 'art'", or "I just follow a few small communities" are the usual excuses these days.
I hear the same excuses as I did for Reddit, only I'd consider Twitter usage considerably less defensible :)
