One of my professors today talking about trying to fit expertise into a democratic society (I’m paraphrasing), “expertise is needed as there is knowledge not everyone possesses but if you go too far the other way and give all the power to experts to make decisions and abandon democracy, like the Soviet Union, it results in failure” 
According to Trump’s new executive order a male is defined as “a person belonging, AT CONCEPTION, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell,” which means legally everyone is female as male sex organs don’t replace the developing female ones until around 6 weeks of gestation. I’m just now catching up on the ceasefire news, did Trump’s team legitimately help organize this? How is it even possible for an administration that hasn’t been inaugurated yet to act as the representative of the U.S. on the global stage and have the power to do this? I’m not entirely optimistic about the future of this ceasefire, but it’s pretty astounding and bleak that Trump of all people accomplished more than Biden did in four years before he’s even taken office.
