"Permanently locked bootloader" means you can't unlock the bootloader so you can flash a different OS. If you can't unlock the bootloader, you can't flash. A lot of phones are like this, like Samsung's galaxy series. I got really fucked by Samsung with the S10 because of this. You need to buy a specific type of phone and security patch if you want to flash. I went with the Pixel bought unlocked from Google so I could use GrapheneOS. It was very easy to unlock the bootloader and then relock it back. I noticed you said the pixel does not have good reception in your country, I would look more into this before going with it if this is the case.

What about something like Posteo or Mailbox? I've heard self-hosting email is hard for newbs, so I've been thinking of getting a domain and connecting it to something like the above. Getting a domain does reveal your identity, but email is also not really private. Also do you have a domain registar recommendation for email?

I currently have Proton unlimited, but I really only need the VPN for obvious reasons. While I do use the drive, I also have filen. For passwords I use a mix of Bitwarden and Keepass. I do use the hell out of simple login, but that can be replaced with Addy or something else. So I don't really need Proton unlimited.

Can you put a content warning for gore on your comment? Sorry to ask, but there are annoying, rather pathetic anti-vegan trolls that try to get vegans banned. You can show prepared meals with meat in them or even raw processed meat, but not the actual process. Don't want people to have feelings when they look at meat after all. Unfortunately if you mention veganism outside of a vegan community, you will attract this troll.

CW: digestive issues, surgery, female reproductive crap, ER (Emergency Room)/hospital

I kinda feel like death lately. I had abdominal surgery to help with my digestive issues and weeks later into recovery, I now have an infection in my intenstines. The pain was so bad I thought there was something wrong with my ovaries or uterus (that's where my most painful pain comes from, but turns out they are mostly fine but inflamed as well for some reason). Since I've had chronic pain for most of my life, it was so hard to wait in a chair in the ER when it is too painful to sit and then much later on standing at the pharmacy for my meds when my legs were never able to stand for too long before all of this. I hate going to the ER so goddamn much and the pharmacy really should have chairs at least. The antibiotic I'm on is causing so much digestive issues (which I was warned about at least), I feel nasueous a lot and easily bloated by small amounts of food. I'll spare you the details about my diarrhea. My stomach is constantly rumbly even as I type this. I am not going to die from this but I feel terrible.

CW: weight management, body issuesOn a side note, I'm no longer overweight. I have been told by doctors before (that I have since ditched since they sucked at listening) that my chronic pain is caused by my weight. Yeah major [X] on that. My pain started when I was at a healthy weight and fairly active as a teen, and the pain contributed to me putting weight on and becoming inactive as an adult. Now, I'm technically not overweight but still want a few more lbs off since I'm not happy with my stomach yet. My pain has not really changed, not that I can notice at least. I'm still somewhat immobile and can't use stairs.

I use [email protected]. It has keyword filters for posts and comments, handy for triggers. It also has a history function so I can search for a post I saw earlier easily. It displays everything pretty perfectly, you aren't going to have problems like spoilers not displaying correctly. It was one of the first apps to get moderator tools, so you can check reports. You can also tag users. There's a lot of customization options and gestures. And all of it is free and the app is still being updated with an active dev.

I hesitate to suggest this since I have 0 experience with this, but she can report being abused by Adult Protective Services (Iowa's APS).

I also just remembered that if she has lived in that house for 30 days, she is considered a tenant and the guy's parents are doing an illegal eviction. She would need a written notice to leave in 30 days for it to be legal and the landlord needs to go to court to evict her.

This woman needs to apply for SNAP, Medicaid, and Social Security. She will need to get documents together, things like birth certificate, SSN, ID, and bank statements. Social Security will likely take years to progress through, but the other two programs will be much quicker. She needs to find the SNAP and Medicaid services in her location and apply ASAP. Her assessment that says she can work can potentially fuck her claim of disability, but for now she should focus on getting Medicaid so she can get access to case workers and other vital medical care and on SNAP to get food and general assistance. Her case worker should be able to help her get housing, likely through something like Section 8 Public Housing (eventually) but immediately in places like a group home.

I would ignore the people who are vehemently against AI and just do what makes you happy. Most of the time, they are just looking for a fight. I recently commented about how AI allows some disabled people to create art, but many people assume only able-bodied people are using AI. That was a mistake. I soon had some people recommending ways for me to make art without AI, and they would not work for my disability, of course. I had one person say if I'm able to type this comment, shouldn't I be able-bodied enough to make art? My favorite is when a person said look at this disabled person paint using their mouth and another disabled person with low vision that is legally blind both create art and put down any disabled people who need AI, because they don't need AI. Must be nice to live without the constant burden of a disability that prevents you from doing the things you enjoy. I've been shamed so many times for being disabled since I was a teen, disabled people do not need extra shaming.

A lot of people have given you advice so I just want to say that you are not a bad person and I am sorry you are going through this. I had a somewhat similar mentality and it takes time to break it. You went through trauma and it was never resolved. None of this was your fault. 🫂

I am going to try to say this as polite as possible. You should never compare people's disabilities, especially in an attempt to invalidate them. No one has insulted disabled artists, however you are being offensive. I see you have been led astray by the second person, but this is just ... off-putting. Yes there are people in wheelchairs who can work, and those who can't. The first group does not make the second group lazy. Some disabled people will have certain activities they cannot do and no amount of individual practice/hard work/effort will change it. Being a member of a group does not exclude them from being offensive (women can be misogynists, etc.). The second person is literally using their status as a disabled person to put down other disabled people, I mean wtf.
