And those left didn't dare enter his office when he had a heart attack, which (the 3-4 hour delay before they did dare) funnily killed him.

Yep, don't need to get a headache from crappy 128bps mp3s.

Also because fuck this rent-music mentality.

A stupid missile for sure, you don't even need a computer for that.

Castle Wolfenstein seems more appropriate, in some twisted backwards way.

50x50 times my friend, the chips are on 2D slates, the nanometre distance is just for one side...

Edit: The distance between the transistors ofc.

Hello !

On my PC I use a torrent client that's FOSS and that only works if my VPN is running. It's great!

Is there a similar soft for mobile (Android)?

Harr & Cheers!

Hello !

Back in the day I made some "MMO" web games, you know you have action points, 'many' players, enemies items etc and it's all "real time" (but you'd only play once or twice a day) and Lemmy have made me quite nostalgic so I thought why not whip up a little game?

So first I thought I could use the users (and the authentication in the http request) of the lemmyverse as players (go to my game community, be redirected to the game, and your credentials is already your login/pass) but I don't really know how to do that, and I feel I'd spend way too much time doing it and maintaining it.

So I thought, I just redirect a community to a "webserver" that does it all, and that's why I'm here.

What's, in your opinion, the easiest simplest webserver with an authentication system where I can plug my game (the game will take like GET/POST variables and give some text and GET/POST inputs back and that's about it).

The best would be some fire & forget soft that's a bit supported. I know I can install Apache and make it work but it seems so large for what I want to do.

Ah, and a Rust "backend" (my game) would be cool, or python if that's not possible.

Cheers

Hello!

As one of many, I started out on "Lemmy" not long ago, and as stuff didn't work well combined with an absolute non-knowledge from my part, I made 1 account on lemmy.ml, one on lemmy.world and one on beehaw.org.

I also set up my own Lemmy server, but it worked way less well than just going to the aforementioned servers (language selection was one part, but more stuff in ALL is still a big difference as I'm quite alone on my server).

Now my accounts just got less and less working until they can't upvote nor post. I'd log in, get a popup confirming my login, but I'm actually not logged in.

Is this because I haven't used them for a couple of weeks, haphazard bot pruning, or something else (I seriously don't think I have posted anything offensive for those sites to bump me)?

I did password reset, I created a Valmond2 on lemmy.world (also didn't work. Maybe it's against the rules, sorry). I'm on mobile with FireFox.

I'm bringing it to attention because when you can't post, you can't get help either. Maybe there are a bunch of people longing for lemmy but just can't contribute.

Cheers

Jabra replacement (lemmy.mindoki.com)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Hello,

At my new work I got this very lightweight Jabra headphone & micro on a stick (IDK but it looks like a Biz 2300 Duo). It works very well (sound and micro), but the cable is some of the devil's work, it's rubbery and it sticks on anything, there is some stupid heavy connector perfectly at the worst part of the cable, roll it up and store it (if you can) and it'll come out like a Gordian knot, try to turn the usb 180° to fit in the usb slot and the whole apparatus tries to prevent it by pushing back as the cable is so rigid.

Briefly, albeit being at use only for once or twice a day, and with a good sound, it drives me crazy.

Searching on a search engines nowadays only yields like "why not buy a JABRA" so I'm turning to you in my quest for a lightweight, small, transportable, easy to use, somewhet sturdy headphone with a micro that has a good sound for talking to people (no need for music!).

Cheers

Edit: usb slot not slit

Add communities (lemmy.mindoki.com)

Hello!

I have my own instance up and running and I'd like to see some content when I hit that "All" filter.

So I thought, I'll just goof around on other instances and sub to nice communities so that their I stance will get added to my server(right? Or is it 'just' the community?).

For example [email protected], but how do I actually do it? It seems that sometimes it works (on the web?) but on Jerboa, which is if I have got it right the official app.

Tried to search for

[email protected]

beehaw.org

[email protected]

...

But nothing shows up.

I know I can add instances to my server, but that needs admin rights and of course is a bit cumbersome.

Thank you all!
