Yeah but naming someone after something from an unfinished series is still a very bold move. I could imagine a world where I name a kid after a fantasy character, but definitely not one where I name them after a fantasy character from an unfinished series. I mean, who knows where things might go!

If there’s two Lalahs, does that mean there’s two Chars

That would be cool but at this point I don't think there's any reason to assume that all newtypes from the other universe ended up in this one.

And where (when?) is Shuji?

Statistically speaking he's likely to be either buying or raising funds for more spraypaint.

I still don't see what prevents someone from just buying a different model.

So this just bans that "style" of rifle? Someone can just go buy some other semi-automatic rifle that doesn't look as imposing or whatever but will still kill a person just as dead? I don't really get what this accomplishes other than inconveniencing people who already own one of the guns this prohibits.

That means you’re going to pay for them, digital or physical

Sure. I don't mind paying. My blu-ray for one show shouldn't be worth more than my car though.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yes. That said, the blu-ray was something like $800 even when it was new.

It can be expensive depending on the show. One of my favorite anime, The Legend of the Galactic Heroes, last printed DVDs in 2004. Enjoy dropping several hundred dollars for them. You can get the blu-rays but now you're paying nearly a thousand.

::: spoiler Origin spoilers Dopplegangers aside I think it would be unfair to call Char a Char clone.

I hadn't seen peak today yet; thank you for that. Too bad it's nigh unreadable though lol.

10 years is a long time so I'll try to be really selective:

  • Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Two tsunderes have fallen for each other, and they're trying every trick from every book to force the other person to admit it first. This is my favorite romance anime, and my favorite comedy anime as well. The manga is complete, and the anime has adapted just over half of it so far (3 seasons and 1 movie).
  • Brave Bang Bravern! - Big gay robots. After all the Gundam and other shows I've watched I can't believe something this silly is my favorite mech anime. It 100% deserves it though. What a sense of humor. This show is complete.
  • Mob Psycho 100 - Same author as One Punch Man. A boy with psychic powers questions the value of having such a thing and tries his hardest to become the best person he can be. The same excellent writing quality you experienced with Season 1 of One Punch Man, but with even more incredible animation and a great ending. This show is complete.

Honorable mention goes to Delicious in Dungeon. I loved that show, but recommending it to someone who's already seen it would be silly.

That's great! I was putting off Season 3 because I definitely need to rewatch Seasons 1 & 2 first, so now I can just go through all of those right before Season 4 releases.

I have the best system for this. I just take notes year-round when the people around me say they want something, and then they're genuinely surprised when they actually get it.
