They're 80% dependent on google there is no choice. Mozilla's behaviour since they got the google deal was the begining of the end. I honestly believe that due to Mozilla's current leadership it would be best for open source developers to all refocus on the ladybird project. I don't have any affiliation to that project and I understand how huge of an undertaking it is to build a web engine from scratch but the gecko engine is polluted by the Mozilla's execs and by extension Google.

To make it clear Google controls Firefox by, in practice, owning an 80% share of Mozilla.

I know it's because of the crop but the fact that there is one less visible bomb for the democrats makes this even funnier.

Wow this is genuinely a brilliant post. I never thought of this myself in that way.

So basically, when a socialist state "fails" it's when the people ignore the public structures in place and revert back to more capitalistic ways which are considered corruption in a socialist society but not a capitalist one (except for rare exceptions).

My personal little conspiracy theory as a French person:

The Président was fully expecting the far right and right to win so that they could be ridiculed while in power (since the very moment you are in power in France you are unpopular) therefore guaranteeing that the right and far right do not win the next presidential election. However the left unexpectedly won the election throwing off the plan. Due to this he has been forced to push through in nominating a conservative Prime Minister so that the right could be still ridiculed while in power and mobilizing more than ever the left, thus saving French democracy for the next presidential elections.
