it's in my blood I'm sorry) but the cops did something really similar during a widely publicized murder in Delphi, IN, where they held these press conferences assuring the killer they knew his name and identity but never reveaed it
And then it took another couple years and the testimony of another unrelated suspect to even find the guy, so clearly they were blowing smoke to see if the guy would slip up or turn himself in (he did neither)
Hell with Ted Bundy, one of his victims escaped and was found wandering (description of violence)

When concerned neighbours called the cops and they arrived, they got there just about when Bundy did, and the cops assumed the two were a gay couple and didn't want to get involved
The sheer incompetence of the cops in that case is astounding

Same here. I work with the mentality that in every broad genre of music, there's going to be something someone likes. It just takes a bit of open minded exploration to find it
I used to absolutely be one of those prick 
types who would say "I listen to everything but rap and country", make fun of those two genres etc, now country is one of my favourite genres and I've found my niche for rap as well
It's always wild to me that the same liberals who post lengthy guides about how women in Republican states can safely hide a Democrat vote from their family or spouse if they're in danger will then turn around and assume every minority vote is a monolith, so time to hang a whole family because of one vote
