Oh no, is Dr. Hawass problematic? I used to love Egypt stuff as a kid and he was in everything about it

Passive safety? Fucking what

This thing was fucking cleaved almost in half from hitting a lamp post at what, I don't know American speeds, but that looks like a 60km/h road give or take. I've seen shitbox Toyotas from the early 00s do that and walk away with a mangled bumper and that's it, maybe a wrecked engine if you were really booking it

This thing weighs as much as a semi and a relatively simple everyday accident nearly bisected the fucking thing

What passive safety lmao

My great-uncle who could recognize trains to the precise model by their sounds and regularly ate the exact same breakfast for his entire life? Definitely not autistic /s

Jesus, I've got a shattered right knee and I'm not in the best of shape and if you asked me to do two flights of stairs I'm fairly sure I could beat that NYPD thumb-cop

Methylthioninium chloride

From a cursory Wikipedia walk it is exceedingly unfit for human consumption

For it to become a criminal case, you basically have to be charging money for pirated content

Or to send a message

It's incredible to see sometimes because if you read between the drier lines about linen and such, Marx had such an accurate view on society that persists even now over a century later

I forgot which piece it was but there's a piece where he talks about the worker being asked to reduce all their non-essential expenses and just become automatons who sleep, eat, and work, and it is nearly identical to modern Bloomberg and FT articles about how workers should get rid of Netflix and other entertainment expenses instead of getting higher wages

the FAA's primary aircraft safety notification system failed for several hours!

And how many flights were delayed there, Mr. Smartest Man Alive?

(Zero, because the FAA failed over to a backup NOTAM system instead, because they have redundancies)

Kissinger was a monster, but what made him so monstrous was that he had the accurate read on geopolitics and the world that usually only comes from communism and historical materialism. He was dead on about how the world worked, he simply used his powers for evil

It's possible but remarkably difficult, modern cars are massive, partly due to modern safety features, partly due to modern market desires

There was a YouTube channel trying to do this before they got fucked by copyright, they were trying to put a 1960s Mustang body on a modern Mustang fram, and it essentially involved custom building everything to fit

This and the casual transphobia of movies too. Basically every 90s and early 00s comedy has the "joke" of a character sleeping with a woman who's then revealed to have transitioned and it causes the character to become violently ill john-agony

I'm so fucking glad that one is gone from the mainstream
