Seems to work on my end.

Hi. Could you remove the insult from your comment (even if I think it's justified) to align with Rule #1?

I like it! A good idea to put on some signs or pamphlets for next protest.

This was posted a couple days ago, I think it's the right way forward to keep the public on our side. https://50501.chat/post/322808

Join the NO KINGS protests tomorrow, on Trump's Birthday, June 14th! It's a nationwide protest with over 1900 locations across the US. Check the website map below.

No Kings Event Map: https://www.nokings.org/#map

Find one near you, write down the address and time, and head out tomorrow. (You don't have to sign up for anything, all you need is the address).

Recommended that you bring a mask, hat, water and snacks. Safety Goggles or Glasses would also be a good idea if you have them.

Bring a sign or the US Flag if you have one.

For privacy reasons you may want to avoid bringing your phone, or place it inside a faraday bag (a really well sealed tinfoil pouch will work, and put it in airplane mode to avoid draining your battery) until you get home.

If you have a first aid kit, it wouldn't hurt to bring it, just in case.

There's a short video on the No Kings site that explains what the protest is for.

We're protesting Trump and his use of authoritarian power against the will of the people. Such as:

  • The kidnapping families off the street to deport them without due process (illegal)
  • Illegally sending the National Guard and Marines to LA to stop peaceful protests against the will of the people and Governor
  • Taking away Medicaid (our universal healthcare that only applies to low income people) from hundreds of thousands of people, many of whom may die without it
  • Making ICE into what is effectively Brown Shirts
  • Persecuting his political enemies, journalists, and lawyers, who dare stand against him

A successful protest would be that the Trump regime becomes too afraid that we will revolt if they keep pushing for an authoritarian dictatorship. We have already seen him begin to back down due to the backlash he has received.

Posting this here due to how important it is. Sorry that it's off-topic, mods, but we need as many eyes on this as humanly possible right now.

You do not have to fill anything out, just find the address, and show up.

Bring water and snacks, wear a mask, and put your phone in a faraday bag if you can.

In every century in American history, the patriots of our armed services have risen to defend democracy and freedom during extraordinary crises.

In the 18th century, Americans fought for independence from a tyrant king.

In the 19th century, Americans fought a civil war to uphold the proposition that all people are created equal, regardless of race.

In the 20th century, Americans fought on the shores of Europe to defend democracy and freedom from the forces of fascism.

American patriots now face the crisis of our time: a traitor in the White House.

The current President of the United States has brought dishonor to America, has disrespected and abused the veterans who swore an oath to defend the Constitution, has violated his own oath of office, has allied himself with cruel dictators, has acted at every opportunity as an undemocratic tyrant, and is therefore unfit to be the president of a free people.

On June 6th, the Anniversary of D-Day, we call on all patriotic people of Massachusetts to assemble on Boston Common with veterans to protest the tyranny of a would-be king and to honor the sacrifice of the brave soldiers who fought and died for the democracy we must continue to protect.
