Why would they add the www. subdomain with no use for it? That'd be like including a handcrank with a new car just because some old people still think they need it

More people commute through the bike lane than a single car lane. Congestion will get worse if you get your way. Are you sure you want that?

It hasn't been allowed since 2008. How old are you that 17 years is a sudden event to you?

It should be obvious to everyone that participating in a video call while driving is a dangerous activity

Despite the scale of layoffs, unemployment remains in the low 4 percent range, suggesting that many displaced workers are having luck finding new roles

That seems very ignorant of the trends over the past 5 years. Many people attempting to get unemployment are being denied, which leads to one of two outcomes: Either they no longer participate in the workforce or they go on disability

Workforce participation has been trending downwards for the past several years. It's a very worrying statistic in the modern US economy. More people are unemployed than before, they just aren't being given unemployment benefits

Disability has also skyrocketed. States love to push people from unemployment to disability, since the federal government covers disability payments. The problem is once a person is on disability, they're far less likely to ever return to the workforce than if they had been on unemployment

For multiple reasons. 2028 is still during Trump's term. I don't see him going away, and I don't see any of this passing under him

Unfortunately, we all live in the same world. That world is going to be ravaged by climate change, whether Republicans want to pull their head out of the sand or not

If there's one thing that'll get gerrymandering outlawed, it's Democrats doing it at scale. I support it

Honestly, people should

Get a job there, refuse immoral/illegal orders. Sure, you'll be fired pretty quick, but you at least get some pay and it gums up the works

The Blackstone CEO’s assassination is pretty much the same as United Healthcare’s assassination

The two are nothing alike

  1. Shane Tamura wasn't targetting a specific person. That's why it's a mass shooting, and not a mass assassination

  2. He had a note on him explicitly blamine the NFL for his CTE, on account of them downplaying the risks of Football

  3. The Blackstone CEO wasn't even an intended target. He went up the wrong elevator, looking for the NFL HQ

The article explicitly pointed out this extended security patching does not cover support

It's easy to agree with Microsoft when you don't bother reading the article and just make up a reason to support their decision

A key, exactly like they did it for decades? Same way they verified you paid for that copy of Windows?

Their Linux VPN client might as well not exist. No kill switch and it randomly disconnects/crashes. Sometimes it completely borks networking necessitating a reboot, which I guess can be better than just leaking your IP?
