Even Xbox doesn't require a subscription for voice chat. And why can't I just use Discord like I can everywhere else?

I think they might have tried to factor them in, but couldn't have predicted a 46% tariff on Vietnam

This isn't anything new and it's still only for a handful of games. Otherwise they wouldn't be talking about the new cartridges having faster data transfer

I don't think Nintendo would put a dedicated social media button on their console after ending support for Twitter, unless they're making their own platform again.

Couple notes:

  • The Joy-Cons have IR sensors on their rails, and the animation shows them sliding around. It's likely that you'll be able to use them as mice

  • There's a new button under the Home button and no one knows what it's for. Every leak showed it had a C on it, but it's deliberately unlabeled here

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is set mostly in late-Victorian-era-London, and the English localization really nailed the dialogue style they were going for. There's an interesting article about it here: https://www.ace-attorney.com/great1-2/us/blog/blog2.html

It does a really good job at incorporating dialects that couldn't have been represented in any other language, too

This dialogue was change in the remake btw. based nintendo

Jerry: "Hi, I guess. I'm Jerry. I'm a Bob-omb from Plumpbelly Village. Nice to meet you. Sorry I sound so down, but you would be too if you saw Luigi dressed as a bride. I'm serious. It scarred me. It was honestly scarier than that giant snake-thing. I feel I now have a moral duty to stop Luigi from ever dressing as a bride again. I have to protect the world from my fate. That's why I'm sticking close to this guy." (GCN)

Jerry: "Hi, I guess. I'm Jerry. I'm a Bob-omb from Plumpbelly Village. Nice meeting you. Sorry I sound so down, but you would be too if you'd seen Luigi's big bridal stunt show. He's SO clumsy in heels! He was like a wobbly force of nature! Falling down everywhere, knocking things over, tumbling into people... Now I have an obligation to tag along and clear the area if Luigi so much as glances at a stiletto. Somebody has to be the herald of the coming wobble-pocalyse. That's why I'm sticking close to this guy." (Switch)

Found a site with more precise vote counting https://uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/

I made this comment based on Green Party results compared to 2016, but actually, this seems like it's the best PSL has ever done. And that's without all of California counted, too! Also worth noting that the Greens (despite their poor performance) appear to have done better than the Libertarians, which I don't think has ever happened. They did better than RFK as well. So at least there's that.

Federated Twitter-likes such as Mastodon, Akkoma, and Misskey have a feature where you can make "local" posts that do not federate and can only be seen and replied to by users on your instance.

How difficult would this be to implement in Lemmy? I think this would help to prevent the site's "culture" from being overrun if we decide to federate.
