get around to at least attempting to deanonymize and round up online antifascists

They already know exactly who you are. People dont understand how pervasive online surveilance and profiling is. AI makes it simple to compile dossiers on everyone.

i dont know if the law has changed recently but my roommate says he goes to cuba every time he travels home to the states. He just makes sure he does it on the way back and goes via canada or mexico. All that happens is that you get singled out for additional screening and questioning when they see the cuba stamp on your passport. You are a U.S citizen so they cant not let you back home.

Anyway I just got back from bohol, phillipines. On alona beach there is a strip of hotels and restaurants and resorts right on the beach and there is an excellent reef to scuba dive on right on the beach as well. Everyone who i ever needed to deal with was able to speak english and all signage is in english. There was a few backpackers and young folks but the bulk of the tourists there (and it is very touristy, though nothing like pattaya or bali) were rich asians, and a few conspicuous sexpat westerners with their girlfriends.

I was stealthing onto the rich henan resort at the end of the beach where my family was staying. I might not have enjoyed alona beach as much if i couldnt hang out there but i believe you can also pay for access to their facilities for the day.

It was all very cheap but it wasnt quite the relaxing beach holiday i wanted since i was dealing with insomnia and it was stressful feeling like you were getting ripped off on change all the time and feeling like everything i ate or drank was playing russian roulette.

Heres an ancient remanant of what libs used to think was a damning indictment of china. Before the myths about Tiananmen became parodies of themselves.

There is an interesting fact to note about chai ling, though i am speculating. When she did the interview and admitted she wanted to provoke a violent crackdown she is following the principles of non violence as espoused by eugene sharp. Some Anti-imperialists have accused the AEI of being a cia/State Dept. front that serves to foment revolutions in unfriendly countries since it has been funded by the NED.

What she said is still discrediting but there was a method to her madness.

It feels like it but theres a difference. Unlike 2016, not only is there no alternative. But there was and we go it. Genocide Joe was pushed out. "If you arent in the K-hive now then what were you complaining about. You were just complaining for its own sake"

There were warning signs about the polls in 2016. The only thing that got mentioned was the national polls. The HRC friendly media downplayed it though. People have learned their lessons and analysis is more nuanced these days.

The hard part of polling in 2024 is not ignoring swing states but in figuring out who is going to turn out to vote and who isnt.

If you've moved house recently as most australians have since this new government and accompanying housing crisis begun then you have to update your details, or at least just make sure that your registration matches what is written on your photo ID

I wasn't there. I'm just curious. The article i read about it said that the motion to support AUKUS was carried on the voices but the opponents were a very noisy minority. Do you think this was true or did they just ram through?

Did anything else interesting happen?
