I think you just summed up my 2024 also.
Stunning! I know from experience these are not easy to grow! Tried various locations but was always too sunny or too shady. And I was never great at keeping them as well watered as they need. Iβll just admire other peopleβs skills!
Check if the intake is blocked by dust/lint. Even if partially blocked might not be getting enough airflow through to counter the heat, and safety cutoff can happen. If all good, then probably itβs just a badly designed hairdryer. Sometimes itβs worth paying a bit more for a basic name brand item than the super cheap ones. Maybe in the Boxing Day sales you could find a bargain?
The kiwis have given you a parting gift of germs? How rude of them. Hopefullly the plane trip back isnβt too uncomfortable!
You are a good human for helping the frog.
One thing at a time. Set yourself a goal to pack 1 box, or 1 category, then take a short breather. Breaking it down into smaller tasks can help when the brain is saying donβt wanna. It will still be unpleasant but as the boxes start piling up you might start feeling better from the progress. Sending good vibes to you! Oh, and this is a place of your own?!?
Can your employer provide a laptop bag? It wonβt hurt to ask. Then the gift card is all yours. Prices are the same as Myer, there no difference between them compared to how it used to be years ago. There will be good sales for Boxing Day, so you can maximise the gift card. Some plush towels? Any kitchen items you need?
A vote regarding metal handle knives - personally I find they can get slippery to hold and for this reason I donβt like using them. Especially if you hands get a bit damp from handling produce or handwashing etc. Lots of people like them though, so maybe see if you can hold one before you buy, see how it feels.
Love iced coffee. But four teaspoons would send me into a spin! I bet it makes a good coffee though. I always find my home made iced coffees are a bit weak on the coffee flavour. I suspect being cold dulls the flavour down, and of course higher volume. I tried using one of those coffee syrups to boost the flavour but found it a bit too sweet and with an odd background flavour. Iβve found making a strong plunger coffee and putting it the fridge to cool down give the best result, but that requires preplanning which I donβt always do.
Hmm that would have been a real dilemma. Donβt tell her about the car and let karma do its thing, or rid yourself of her presence by telling her about it so she leaves the shop. I dunno, I may have just stuck it out and let the car get towed.
Just finished watching Day of the Jackal (the tv series). Great show, suspenseful to the end. You know the writers have done a good job when you find yourself cheering for a ruthless killer.
