I feel sad about all the βfreeβ work I have given my employers over the years. Extra hours at start/end of day, working through breaks, taking after hours calls etc. It seemed unavoidable because, well, thatβs just workplace culture and if you donβt want to be viewed badly or looked over for promotions you just had to do it. Especially when you are younger and bills need paying and youβre trying to make a future for yourself. But its really not right. If it were an hourly paid job, those hours would be paid. But in salary paid jobs employers can really screw you.

It was brutal. I remember it very well because there was a whole week in the 40s and the airconditioning in our place at the time was not great. Also my workplace was a long commute away, very not fun in the afternoons. And this was the days before working from home was an option. A lot of people were βsickβ that week on various days.
The recipients of these gifts are very very lucky people.
Sky orange. Is it dust from wind or smoke from fires?
For FTTP they install a hardwired box on a wall inside your house.
Sigh. Just spent an hour past my appointment in the GPs waiting room. Why do they always run so late? Surely they should leave some buffer time or make appointments longer? So annoying. Seriously I would be happier to drive further to a clinic that can manage their bookings rather than sit endlessly at one that canβt. But they all seem the same.
Are they going into your property or is it a common area? Any option to put the birdbath where the public canβt access it?
I once got asked to step to the side for check because something was detected in one of my pockets. Tissues. It was tissues. They let me keep them.
A well sealed cooler bag should contain any aromas. Especially if the items are cold.
Oh I do hope this trend makes it to Oz.
I somehow managed to pinch the skin of my little finger between the lever and body of the mixer tap so much that it bled. An injury I never knew was possible.
