That's for NSFW communities. Since the protests, quite a lot of communities are still marked as NSFW, even if they're not, in reality.

Kobo devices are easy to install KOReader on.

You should also ask yourself what kind of books you want to read. Black and white comic books, for instance, can be read on an e-reader, as long as the screen is big enough.

It was always a tankie den. The Lemmy developers are very openly tankies.
They held their heads relatively low during the whole Reddit exodus, but that's about it.

Here are some examples: https://raddle.me/f/lobby/159606/is-lemmy-still-a-tankie-platform-or-are-there-actual

Another cool new feature for Linux users in the Firefox 115 release is the ability to open links or search for text that has been copied on your clipboard by middle-clicking on the New Tab button. This is a productivity feature as you no longer have to open a new tab and paste the copied text or link you want to search/open.

I have to remember to use it, it'll be incredibly useful.

DuckDuckGo, but mostly because of the !bangs. I do 90% of my searches through StartPage (!s), and the rest directly on a few websites (Wikipedia, YouTube, Arch wiki...).

Reddit is required by EU law to delete all of your data if you ask them to (and you're an EU citizen). I suspect it's much harder to do on the fediverse, though in theory they're subjected to the same law.

If you're not necessarily looking for PvP, Deep Rock Galactic is an awesome 4-player coop shooter.

I avoid their services like the plague, but not everything Facebook does is inherently evil. For instance, they did zstd, React, and Ent (I'm not a dev, so I may be wrong about the last two being good, but React at least seems to be very popular). They're also in the top 10 of employers contributing to the Linux kernel from 5.16 to 6.1.
