Hearing "never let anyone take your power from you" from a prosecutor is wild
Shaleesh
oh I could use one of those, got a link?
My buddy got me into PlanetSide 2 and that's been a lot of fun! Really cool to play a game I got hyped for over a decade ago and totally forgot about until just now. I have also been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat with the GUNSLINGER mod installed and the relatively small tweaks it makes to gunplay and survival make the game feel a lot more fresh.
Fun Fact: H&K tried to sue over the external similarities. They claimed it was copyright infrigement but because it clearly is a different design they lost the lawsuit.
Whales.
Its something about how graceful and beautiful and HUGE and social they are. I'm tearing up as I write this but thinking about their family structures, language and ancient migratory patterns really fucking gets me. I hope we figure out how to talk to the whales, I want to tell them I love them and I'm sorry for what we are doing to them.
Elephants do the same thing to me.
I love this, thank you.
The wonderful people in my life keep me going. I am driven by the beautiful things life has in store, hidden away just out of sight. I aim to be a little better every day, to give kindness to others and contribute to positive changes in the world at large.
Meaning of life? Its short and when it ends that is that so we aught to appreciate ourselves, what is around us, and to help others do the same. We are the universe experiencing itself through a intricate system of chemical reactions. I think that is meaning enough.
It's remarkable how few people understand that SSNs are not randomly distributed, the first six digits indicate the location where the number was issued. So yes actually, axeing employees based off of the first digit of the SSN can constitute discrimination.
Addendum: it looks like microsoft just rolled out a version of teams for linux that is more or less up to speed with the ones for windows. Also important to mention is that there is a possibility that the security systems your organizations use might have compatibility issues so thats something to research and/or ask people in the IT department about.
Libre office is a pretty good replacement for the Windows office suite, though I will say that Excel is a little nicer than its Libre office counterpart. You could try them out on your current system to see how they work out for you. R has a bunch of linux compatible versions though I am not so sure about Teams being able to run on such systems, there is a possibility that one might be able to run it using compatibility tools like WINE but I do not have any experience with Teams so I cant really say.
I don't have any exact figures to give you but I have discovered that taking fries out and letting them rest for a couple minutes before putting them back in for a little while definitely crisped them up.
I so first off I am thankful for my amazing friends (yes you, you know who you are), my sweet little kitty, and this community that has been a source of levity and insight.
Yeah so this is my first time coming "back home" to my parents house for thanksgiving and I really kinda miss living in town so I could escape at the end of the night. My family isn't like, evil or anything but they make me feel bad to be me most of the time so its been pretty unpleasant actually. Politics didn't come up until much later in the evening and no interesting takes were said but it was still upsetting. I got to bring my kitty because shes family too now and shes made everything so much easier, everyone loves her! Can't wait to go home tomorrow, I don't want to be in this house anymore.
