God damn has the McLaren improved. Also piastri proving a massive upgrade on ricciardo already.

I meant variable refresh rate by vrr.
though can't really see any need for it as my monitors are similar resolution there
Well wayland may help if the refresh rates of the monitor is different. Also Wayland will be the only one supported in the future as if I understand correctly, X11 is no longer supported
Yes
I've heard it's not great for gaming anyway
Gaming on wayland now has more or less the same performance as on x11. Some things like vrr (atleast on plasma) is even better/easier on wayland than on x11
I like Gnome. It is very usable out of the box and requires the least amount of work to get it to my liking. I am current running pop_os' cosmic version of gnome though I also enjoyed vanilla-ish(that is with 2-3 extensions) version of gnome with fedora. If only mutter starts officially supporting vrr when using wayland
3 of the comments did have edits so that might explain it. Thanks for the explanation
Don't worry. Happens to all of us
Yeah but at the top, the post shows 14 comments but the total of number of comments shown in the post is only 5
Considering we have defederated only with only 3 obscure instances, why am not seeing comments which the post header shows exists¿?
People of lemmy.world should encourage the new users joining up on lemmy.world to other create accounts on other instances instead
When people make this statement I never understand it. My mother also keeps saying that she does want to deal with anymore apps than she has. What exactly does she mean by that. The app updates are automatic and the app just exists on the menu when not used. It is not like the app needs maintenance/tweaking to run
Unfortunately the daniel of today is not the same as the daniel of 2018. Also max today is also much better than he was in 2018. So even though he did not get destroyed earlier, he may get destroyed now in much the same way as he was destroyed by Lando. Ricciardo has to go to a smaller team and rebuild his confidence and reputation before trying for one of the top teams
