Yeah I figured this is the end of the rope for Steam Deck Secure Boot. I bumped the Steam post that the creator of the GitHub guide made to see if things have changed since 2022/2023, but I'm not betting on it.

Honestly if I go through with any troubleshooting to fix Secure Boot, it just means I'll be bending the knee to EA who are a shit company in the first place. I'd rather boycott one of their games for these shitty practices and play some of the older BF games that at least still have server browsers and don't require Secure Boot (yet).

Risks absolutely outweigh the rewards on this one, 100%. Hate to see so many EA and M$ shills out there defending all this

Interesting, hadn't seen this quirk in my research. Thanks for sharing.

I may be willing to wipe my partitions clean and do a fresh W10 install, but there would need to be a video guide from Bald Sealion or others.

Honestly the more and more I look into this mess, as you rightfully put it, it's not worth it for 1 game.

I feel like I have to at work, 100p. Many of my coworkers use it, and I just can't bear it myself. I don't think I've ever used AI in a professional context.

Now, in a non-professional context, like a Twitch stream, hell yeah I use AI. They can say some funny shit!

Appreciate the links, and the one specifically for Surfaces!

Any guides for how to do that?

I can't replace the battery easily, or any component in a Surface. Microsoft products get the worst repair score from iFixit. I've been wanting a Framework as my daily driver for a while now so I can make repairs as I need them over time (or even make upgrades in the case of the 17" product).

I don't think I'll get rid of the laptop tho. Can probably add Linux to it and use it as a server. Right now though, I don't have the time for that. I want something out of the box that will work play-and-play

The latest Windows update that rolled out a few days ago literally bricked my Surface.

I had the same CPU & RAM load running before and after the update. After, even Task Manager wasn't responding!

Next paycheck, I think I'm buying a Framework
