@OmegaLemmy @cm0002 I thought Nobara was Fedora-based?

@Psythik @nutsack How do they rate iggames in 1337x then? Comments seem to suggest miners exists but only on unpopular games since miners on popular games would supposedly expose them.

[–] Reshirams_Rad_Slam@mastodo.neoliber.al 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

@Psythik @Bronzie Doesn't mpv let you convert SDR to HDR?

@yesman hmm that talks about people creoles specifically american though. not language creoles. Once upon a time, our country also had creoles so I know about the term.

@whaleross but those references would be in a language, wouldn't it? Unfortunately I can't test it since I don't think the most obscure language I know is obscure enough

[–] Reshirams_Rad_Slam@mastodo.neoliber.al 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

@whaleross what does that agnosticism mean? Don't you need to store that knowledge somehow in say maybe a language?

@nostupidquestions How does generative AI handle creoles? Does it get confused and respond like it's one of the parent languages?

@Object I'm guessing hyprland is as usable as a desktop environment or at least better than lxqt which is atrocious? Or do I have to install extra extensions or have to muck around in the config to have a proper desktop? All the dev influencers seem to use it.

[–] Reshirams_Rad_Slam@mastodo.neoliber.al 0 points 1 month ago (3 children)

@Object new would generally mean less popular right? I'm comparing it to lxqt in the practical lightness department since it seems to be a fancy wm and it might be more usable as a replacement than lxqt/de which is a pain for me to use. Is the keyboard aspect required?

@nostupidquestions What's up with the hyprland hype?
Is it lighter than lxde/lxqt/xfce?

@nostupidquestions Did the fighter/rogue/cleric/wizard core and its various iterations come from tournament play?
Or maybe there's just not that many permutations for team compositions in early dnd?

AI says
"Character Class Distribution

For AD&D tournament play, successful teams typically included:

At least one primary fighter (Fighter, Paladin, or Ranger)
One primary spellcaster (Magic-User or Illusionist)
One healer (Cleric or high-level Druid)
One skill specialist (Thief or Bard)"

@nostupidquestions So does remastered oblivion have remastered dlcs or is the remastered compatible with old dlcs and mods like NWN Enhanced seem to be?

@nostupidquestions What's the significance of/context behind this quote?
"Flight Simulator II is a flight simulator released by subLOGIC in 1986 for the Amiga 1000. This game came out before the Amiga 500 was released in 1987. Let that sink in. Because barely anyone understood Amiga hardware in 1986." - https://lilura1.blogspot.com/2022/02/Flight-Simulator-2-Amiga-1986-subLOGIC-Chris-Green.html
I assume it's a huge feat of engineering right there but why and what's the significance?

@NightFantom But wasn't Pathfinder 1e which has 50% more content than 3e equally popular during 4e? Also wasn't simplicity the point of the old school renaissance movement with even simpler rules from the good old days which doesn't seem to be as popular as DnD or Pathfinder

Yeah. I'm not high level enough to fully know if it's good enough in ToEE but it seems only Color Spray is a good gnome illusion specialist spell I see and other spells like mirror image and invisibility don't need speccing

[–] Reshirams_Rad_Slam@mastodo.neoliber.al 2 points 1 month ago (3 children)

@NightFantom Maybe it is just the shadow spells then. Video game implementations don't exist for those spells and also even if they do means no creative solutions for those spells unfortunately. I guess illusion becoming mundane once you typify it into a concrete system inevitably makes illusion weaker, then. I also read the school tier list for illusion in this guide. https://rpgbot.net/dnd35/characters/classes/wizard

@nostupidquestions Roleplaying aside, is there a point in Gnomes and Spell Focus (Illusion) in core DnD 3.5 or at most the expanded 3.5 SRD? There seems to be a dearth of relevant useful illusion spells.

Sorry. I don't know if it's proper here since I can't read the rules since my IP or country seems to be blocked. I've only heard Whisper Gnomes being cheesy but that's not core and I don't think what makes him work are part of core or at least the whole SRD either.

@nostupidquestions Is it just because they're more noticeable or are Xcom clones more common in gog than clones of other games?
It might be just because titles that exude alien are obvious

@Suck_on_my_Presence What would be missing since bards get essentially all the buffs and debuffs because they don't stack? And wouldn't being aoe'd or targeted also equally hurt other team comps?

[–] Reshirams_Rad_Slam@mastodo.neoliber.al 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

@DmMacniel @nokturne213 I meant by the post bard + 3 martials best? because buffs and debuffs from statuses don't stack and bards can do both. The picture didn't add the statuses. Unfortunately, cross post omitted the martials bit

@nostupidquestions @pathfinder With all the buff other spells and debuffs being status bonuses and martials and casters being balanced, what's stopping the best composition from being bards + 3 martials in Pathfinder 2e?

I realize this could all be misinformation because it's AI.

#pathfinder #pathfinder2e

@nostupidquestions What's up with the neovim hype?
and nvchad's?

@nostupidquestions Why r bugfixing mods like unofficial skyrim patch and circle of eight modpack opinionated rather than unintrusive with their changes. Like it's not simply bugfixes anymore, is it?
Are most bugfixing mods like this? Why do they end up like this if so? They seem to make seemingly random opinionated changes that're seemingly unrelated to bugfixing. College of winterhold dorm only one room for you, for example, even though 2 are free and free by default since no one occupies it

@nostupidquestions Do barbarians wearing heavy armor get penalties aside from fast movement (and initiative?) in DnD 3.5?
I can't find definitive internet sources for this. The wiki and Temple of elemental evil (The game I'm playing to ask this) doesn't say there are penalties but AI and internet sources who I don't know what version they're talking about disagree.
