GHOW-da is about the closest English approximation. The G sound is quite different in Dutch though.

Do you have sauce for these? My sons would love to see them.

Years ago we had a hedgehog wander into garden just at dusk. My cat, who was always very curious, followed the hedgehog around for about 45 minutes as it rooted around for things. The hedgehog did not care at all when my cat sniffed him and (gently) touched him/her with his paws. They do not care.

I kinda fell like Gen Z gets this right, or more right more often than the others. My Gen Z son is autistic (super high functioning, until the crash comes and he's out for a day or more).

But his friends all understand, and many of them, although NT, identify with some of the experiences atypical people have. And I've seen this with his friends in the States as well. Nobody gives him shit, everyone is accommodating without making a big deal out of it.

Just seems like Gen Z will get this one right, like they have many things. Older Gen Xer posting, just for reference. Like a lot of things, Xers just didn't know better until someone showed us.

You're getting downvoted but I think what you need to understand is that China can do nothing, and that still helps Russia. Instead, they are trading with them and keeping their economy afloat. They don't have to send men/material to help.

But ...crows are a type of corvid. So, you are not Unidan, but we may someday summon him yet.

Do we really spell it, "meems" My kids spell it memes?

I am an Xer who manages a small but crucial team at my workplace (in an EU country). I had a lady resign last week, and I have another who may be about to resign or I may have to let go due to low engagement. They are both Gen Z. Today it hit me: the five years I've been managing this department, the only people I've lost have been from Gen Z. Clearly I do not know how to manage Gen Z so that they are happy working here. What can I do? I want them to be as happy as my Millennial team members. One detail that might matter is that my team is spread over three European cities.

Happy to provide any clarification if anyone wants it.

Edit. Thanks for all the answers even if a few of them are difficult to hear (and a few were oddly angry?) This has been very helpful for me, much more so than it probably would have been at the Old Place.

Also the second lady I mentioned who might quit or I might have to let go? She quit the day after I posted this giving a week's notice yesterday. My team is fully supportive, but it's going to be a rough couple of months.

I'm not challenging the rule or anything, it just seems a little out of place here. Potential legal repercussions for our server's owner maybe?

Perhaps this is a dumb question, if so sorry! I don't want to move from here, but I do like the old-school layout over at mlmym.org
