Dude is just mad he's irrelevant and trying to be talked about again
I don't get how you dont enjoy it, because I do enjoy it. If I didnt enjoy it i might get it, but I do so I don't. Debate me coward.
Also bad posts go in badposting
Looking thru this thread I realize most of my favorite episodes are from season 1, which is apparently the least like of the golden age lol
I love the union plant strike song. "They have the plant, but we have the power" is such a strong line
I just miss when the Simpsons did their own music. See my vest is so good, they had so many great musical jokes and it's just... Gone
What is it about grimes that so grabs the american cultural focus? I'm not trying to joke or anything, but everyone who is a Simpsons fan is obsessed with Grimes. Obsessed is too strong a word, but you know what I mean. It's probably the single episode that has the most written about it.
Is it because it's more "realistic"? Do Simpsons fans actually want wild fantastical adventures about the Simpsons dealing with everyday problems? (I can't remember the exact quote from that focus group scene from The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochy show. Incidentally the scene right before lives rent free in my head. Just a guy asking a kid if he'd like to come with him to see some cartoons)
Are there any underrated golden age episodes? Seems like they're all beloved.
What's the most overrated one though? Probably one of the treehouse of horrors.
I guess the episode that everyone points to as being death of Simpsons could qualify as being both, due to the people hating it and the contrarians saying it's good. I like the flashback animation in it.
Other than that the one were Lisa gets the substitute teacher that then leaves, leaves me wanting too. She's a depressed child and it's never really resolved and then it's just abandoned as the show turned to worse
My edit?
Anyway if you believe the GLADIO stuff is confined to the 90's then I've got a bridge to sell you
No, I'm just pointing out why the left in the west is impotent. Shutting your eyes to the reality of the world only makes you more vulnerable to it. There's still plenty of people fighting, but the reason there's no mass movement is not because of lazynessz but because of focused efforts by the bourgeoisie to kneecap and incapacitate the left. Up until the 90's this was also done partially by giving concessions so agitation was less effective. This effort has been so effective that concessions are no longer considered necessary, which is why it now feels like the left isn't even fighting - Because it has no base and the proletariat is in large part docile and content.
And yet there's still people out there fighting. Having been a red for some time I can say that there are more now than in the 00's. The early 00's were bleak
It's what happens when operation GLADIO and the like get to slowly dismantle all leftist movements
My guy is out here triple collared up
There's a decent youtuber explaining why he was so big, its a long video though, so I do t know if you'd be into it. He's also kind of a lib. F. D. Signifyer
