The privacy policy changed not explicitly for the game. It is possible the data collection behaviour has always been like that and they only now have rewritten it to comply with current laws. The way its written is common to comply with EU law (what in detail may be collected and for what purpose).

Nothing changed for anyone that bought the game and only plays the game exclusively (eg. on Steam).

That's exactly how it works with any other privacy policy you will find (except when the service is spun out in a subsidiary like Meta > WhatsApp LLC where WhatsApp has its own privacy policy). Look at Ubisoft's privacy policy: https://www.ubisoft.com/legal/documents/privacypolicy/en-INTL Ist's the same. Or worse maybe? They are more clear in their language on why and where the data gets collected. That's where Take-Two could have done a better Job.

Or EA: https://www.ea.com/legal/privacy-and-cookie-policy?setLocale=en-US

Same shit. Not saying that I like it, but this is not new at all. Take-Two is not a suddenly a spy company that installs spyware. Privacy policies have been like this for years but it seems some people currently woke up to reading or caring about privacy policies for the first time in their life.

I just read the german version and compared them a little. (https://www.take2games.com/privacy/de/) Its about the same. But ist also reads fairly normal like any other privacy policy. I also think its in line with EU law. The collected data always relates to whatever TakeTwo service you use and whatever data you provide voluntarily or technically by using it. Thats fine by EU law.

Instagram/Facebook and its "Business" products. I truly believe Meta actively works on making its products as unusable as possible in a brower. As in: removing, breaking or obscuring functions that work in their apps. **This makes working as a team with different device types a massive pain in the ass. **

Don't even try to be logged out of an account and use these sites in a browser. You might as well have a 5 year old write a html page on a ducking Disney Princess Play Click & Swap Laptop that is more usable in a browser than Instagram without an account.

Kaum ein anderes Spiel eignet sich so für die virtuelle Realität wie "Minecraft". [...] Minecraft und VR – auf den ersten Blick eine unschlagbare Kombination.

... Yo, was?

Banning a fascist party is about banning a party that has it's goal in removing our democracy, not about solving the issues that helped them come to power. And there is no good reason for waiting to use the tools our democracy has to defend itself.

Solving the problems that the people have is a completely different topic. The fascist party has merely instrumentalized these.

Traurige arbeitsloseren Geräusche :(

Hi guys, I have no problem running docker (containers) via CLI, but I though it would be nice try Docker Desktop on my Ubuntu machine. But as soon as I start Docker Desktop it runs "starting Docker engine" indefinitely until my drive is full. The .docker folder then is about 70GB large. I read somewhere that this is the virtual disk size that is being created and that I could change it in the settings, but those are blocked until the engine starting process is finished (which it never does). Anyone else has experienced this?

So I struggled to delete a free Apple TV+ account for a day now (tried different browsers etc) and decided to search if anyone else has had the same problem. Turns out this issue is at least a year old, is known by apple and the Apple support suggests to find someone else with an Apple device to help you out.

Just wow. This can't be legal by EU law.

I'm wondering if there is an alternative Netflix front-end or script/addon I can use to enhance the Netflix interface. I found out via justwatch.com that there are many more great movies I'd watch if I had ever found them on the vanilla site. It would be amazing to have a consistent front-end with categories and filters like on justwatch.com. Has anyone experience with this?

Seeing this makes me really happy. The nvidia-open drivers run VR as smooth as with Windows, but these lag spikes ruined the experience.
