You cannot make restrictions to the distribution of the source code under the GPL

I have chipped a normal and lite switch, the soldering itself is not the worst but seeing what you're doing is hard.
Plus on the switch lite, take great care about the battery connector. It's super fragile and can pull out when disconnecting it

What I find insane is that FairPhone pushed those updates without testing them properly. These bugs may not be exclusive to their phones, but it affects their users as well.

Hello,

I recently updated my fairphone 5 to android 14, and since then I was unable to receive many calls as the phone would not ring and not vibrate. It only shows a silent notifications saying "missed call, silent mode".
Even though the volume is set, vibration is active and DnD is off.
Now yesterday I updated to android 15, and my alarm does not work anymore. Woke up this morning an hour late with a notification saying "missed alarm, your alarm volume was too low 14%". I did not change the volume whatsoever but it apparently did.
Searching on the internet, it seems to be common bugs with these updates, also affecting pixel owners.

I am furious. I cannot use my phone for its two main purposes: calls and alarms.
I hoped the first bug was resolved by the update, but it now seems worse.

Anybody got any workaround, fix or way to downgrade to android 13?

Depends on the required experience. Most java jobs I see are for junior/medior with corresponding salaries. Go jobs tend to be more medior/senior and thus have higher range.
Senior java jobs may pay a bit better but there are way less of them compared to go jobs

Yeah the language is not the most sexy but it does the job. The tooling is where the real benefits come to life

[–] Orygin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah I wouldn't say a java service taking multiple seconds to boot up being scalable the same way that any other compiled language will be.
There are also the huge "legacy" frameworks that slow down java, the auto magic and more non features that make maintaining any real world java application a pain.

Communication is a two way street. If what you meant to convey as humorous did not land as such, but instead as condescending, maybe try reflecting why and how you can improve your communication in the future.

The tone was condescending yes.

Why so aggressive? Did someone hurt you?

Interestingly, continents are super complex and there seems to be a continent hidden underneath the Mediterranean. A good YouTube video on the subject

Thanks, unfortunately nothing there. Even though I get notifications telling me to use it, and my assistant was replaced by that turd. Guess I'll end up switching roms to avoid it

I just started trying to setup two screen using the official dock and the experience has been pretty awful. In desktop mode, I got two freezes while trying to have the displays recognized. Booting with both screens plugged in resulted in no detection. Then after replugging a screen (display port) I only got 640x480 resolution. Second replug I got the 1080p but plugging the second screen either results in a crash, or just now it's not frozen but I only have a black background and the mouse cursor.

Is there some setting to change to improve the situation? Ideally I'd like it to be automatic when I plug the Deck on the dock, especially with valve official dock which costs quite a bit compared to other options.

I'm curious about other people's experience with this

Hello,

I have subscribed to a few communities already (some on other instances, like lemmy.ml ou beehaw), but some communities cannot be accessed from here, even tough other communities from the same instance are available.

For example, I cannot access !golang@lemmy.ml from here, even though I can access other communities from lemmy.ml here, and the community is accessible from other instances (like feddit.de: https://feddit.de/c/golang@lemmy.ml). I only get a 404 error: https://sh.itjust.works/c/golang@lemmy.ml

Is there any reason why? Maybe related to load issues @lemmy.ml?
