You can build your own APK of Infinity with your own API key. You don't need to install any apps (other than infinity) and it can be done from your phone.

Edit: Also, Geddit (Website) (F-Droid) (GitHub) works without the API, but you can't interact with anything, comments don't show properly, and I think the UI doesn't look very good.
I think copying Mastodon would be the best for this. You can mark the post as sensitive (nsfw), which blurs the images. You can also add a content warning that can be used for anything (nsfw, nsfl, spoilers, etc).
And then use tags separately for categorizing posts.
I think that for posts to federate to another instance, there needs to be at least 1 subscriber from that instance.
On reddit? Vote % is fuzzed a little to prevent spambots or something.

Yeah it's kinda weird that from mastodon it boosts all the comments instead of just the posts. You can tap into the posts to see the comments anyways, can't you?
Make sure to turn off face retouching. Also as the other comment said, you can turn on raw photos from the Advanced settings, but it does save duplicate photos if you do.
Edit: and set 'Camera photo resolution' to Full resolution
For the community to show up on an instance, it needs to have been viewed by at least one person from that instance. (You need to be logged in for this to count).
I went to https://lemmy.one/c/[email protected] with my alt on that instance. Now you should be able to see it from there, even if you aren't logged in.
Also, I think for posts to be federated properly there needs to be at least one subscriber from the instance (just visiting isn't enough). I'm not sure about that tho.
