We need our fun little space to talk shit about reactionaries and bond over making fun of them. I like the Dunk Court and the Dunk Pit myself; I always thought the way we used dunking here had more to do with basketball so “the dunk tank” never clicked as the carnival game with its racist baggage in my mind. Mods stop being silly

Fucking exhausted. Having to justify my 3rd party vote to an old friend who is a bit of a social liberal democrat guy has taken it out of me. He heard my POV and we're cool, seems like this is a radicalizing moment for him, but it felt like he was taking his electoral frustrations out on me running through the gamut of lib media talking points. Also been working through some intense shit with my partner and not sure where I stand on things rn which has been fucking my mental health up. Also been getting my shit rocked by school but I’m nearly done so just keeping my head down and grinding. Hoping to find a new org soon after I get my life together as my last one was disappointingly tailist and was wasting my time. All in all, the usual

This book is just about ruthlessly manipulating those around you for personal gain. It’s a deeply toxic message and outlook lacking in any form of empathy, just disgusting stuff

Do you really think any of us who voted third party were ever going to vote for a genocidal, anti immigrant, imperialist cop? Third parties didn’t take away votes because those votes were not Harris’ by default; they gave a voice to people who otherwise wouldn’t have voted to express their disapproval of this rigged, exploitative system. And to top all that off, even if every third party voter was somehow mandated to vote for Kamala, she still would have lost.

Fuck yeah that book is amazing. I wish so bad Reed had finished the follow up

Is fencing hard to get into? I don’t want to necessarily compete but that sport looks super fun to me and I want to learn it

Ayyyy I have the same one! Took me months to get it but so worth. Something about this direct material connection to and solidarity with Palestine gives me hope

Qbittorrent with gluetun routing traffic to Mullvad. Content added to qb via the *arr suite. All downloads go to my ZFS pool on the same server, then I use Jellyfin for viewing media and syncthing to move books to my tablet. All the services are running in docker containers on a fedora server host, which I’ve hardened for security. I don’t expose anything to the network, all access is through tailscale

I pronounce it with two syllables personally, but I grew up in the southern US so I’ve also heard it with one by many family members and friends. If I affect a southern drawl it becomes one syllable but that accent isn’t natural to me

Casually admitting you want to injure children because they had the gall to ask for candy on Halloween is very normal and you should put it in your book unprompted
