Assuming the price is exactly the same on both platforms (or even within like $10 if I'm not getting a Steam key from the GOG purchase), I'm buying from Steam every time. Mainly for the convenience of having it in my Steam library, so I can't just flat out forget that I own the game already when I finally get around to playing whatever it was, because god knows I don't immediately play straight through the vast majority of games I buy.

Small note: for whatever reason I misremembered which combo was her bnb. It's intermediate 6, not 11.

especially when it comes adding drive rush to my game

On this note, if you're not doing it already as your primary combo, do her intermediate 6 combo trial, but with 5MP starter instead of 5MK. Then you can buffer drive rushes behind your pokes and confirm into it for free medals. Or if they block you still get to DR in and command grab the shit out of them.

It's also incredibly helpful in the long run to train yourself to get hype over little wins that have nothing to do with whether the results screen says you won or lost.

Example: I still suck ass at anti-airs, but rather than get upset that people can jump in on me all the time, I'll pop off for myself if I even correctly react (meaning I recognized the jump was coming and I started to reach for the button), let alone if I actually successfully anti-air them.

Same with any time I learn a new combo or new interaction like jabbing Cammy out of her heavy target combo. Even remembering that I CAN jab is a win. Then actually jabbing her out was another win, and then when I realized I could jab into light hit grab that was another, then actually executing that was ANOTHER win.

It really is. It took me way longer to make the adjustments to get out of Platinum than to get out of Diamond.

I wanna make a ridiculously oversimplified guide to both Manon, and more importantly my learning process with her as a whole.

Also I'm looking into going to my weekly locals, cause I've run into a couple of those guys on ranked and I didn't get completely destroyed.

Here's the outline for the super oversimplified guide I wanna make.

Please ask me any questions you can think of.

One of the (thankfully) only times I saw one of these fuckers it was on my ceiling above my desk. I left early for school that day.

Mini Metro and Mini Motorways are pretty chill.
Both Katamari REROLL games.
Pretty much every Humongous Entertainment game.
DREDGE and WORLD OF HORROR if you want an exercise in slow-paced creepy bullshit tolerance.
Jet Set Radio is probably another solid choice, just for the music and aesthetic.
Beat Hazard for vibing to your music and some crazy flashy visuals. 2 has support for a bunch of major music streaming platforms, including YouTube.
Also like any porn game you can get down with.

Also Peglin, if you ever wanted Peggle but as a roguelite deckbuilder.

It was harder to get into Diamond than it was to get into Master, for me. Have this clip from the previous round with this Chun-Li.

As much as I hate the sentiment that "Master" doesn't mean "good player", you can make it in there with some pretty big knowledge gaps, as you can see. This was the first Master I went up against, but since getting in I've had people lose to even sillier shit, myself included.

One thing where I was kinda lucky to have it click somewhere in the middle of Diamond was that I started tapping my parry button along to the beat of people's combos/blockstrings and that started giving me tons of bonus perfect parries overnight. Prior to making that minor adjustment I didn't really use my parry all that much outside of matchups with a lot of projectile spam.

TL;DR: Perfect parry is pretty good, and occasionally be willing to bust out the dumbest plays you can think of, cause people don't do well against wild playstyle switches.
