BTW wine vanilla and some custom proton builds are adding direct wayland support, just so you know. It’s still experimental but works great for some games, just in case you have others tying you to X.

if its a Native SDL game you can force it on Wayland aswell with a launch argument " SDL_VIDEODRIVEVER=wayland" works with Source Games and BeamNG from my testing

I am just using my GTX 1650 4GB VRAM (GDDR6) and it works fine for most of the things i do I can use Linux + FSR Hack to squeeze framerates out of games that perform poorly
and it runs my SCP:SL and tf2 fine
SCP:SL am using FSR HACK To squeeze more framerate until Nvidia fixes VKD3D
Maybe my next card is RX 6650 XT/AMD but still i might stick with my GTX 1650

the theme tricked me into thinking this is Cinnamon

Hi lemmy So i was curious why Enlightenment didn't recieve much adoption in the Linux Desktop. (especially for a fully featured lightweight wayland DE)
Ik Bodhi Linux uses Enlightenment, but it's more of Moksha rather then using Enlightenment

Cause

  • Lighter then LXQT
  • Somewhat customizable

But I can see people not liking it cause.

  • the ui(especially for windows users)
  • Hard to find themes due to it using its own toolkit

(I use kde but plan to move to cinnamon I find kde buggy and gnome tracker3 randomly broke for no reason + themeing so yh idk if these happened to anybody)

Lemmy does not have a vote features so you can type your opinions in the comments
