Chinese leaders still write at length about Marxism and how I see it becoming a socialist country or even a communist country is incredibly difficult in the face of powerful countries that also know this playbook and want to destroy you for it. Its not enough or even practical to press the socialism button because in real life with countries that absolutely hate you and make it their mission to subjugate and exploit you, it doesn't work.

Im worried that these people i stopped hanging out with last year are going to be making shit up about me especially based on shit i said while drunk. Im not trying to minimize that part but i dont think i said anything crazy, but if i did, please talk to me first. I really feel betrayed sharing so much of myself with someone to just have them stab me in the back. That part makes me feel like okay yeah fuck all of these people.
I mean that situation got toxic and i need to learn from it. I straight up rejected one person who was married, trying to hook up with me and im positive the other person was trying to avoid conflict with their boyfriend because of what happened the year before. Were having a good time, completely platonic and he stormed off and cried in the hotel room. Nothing good can stem from something like that holy shit
Its just to hard to make new friends, i really dont want to be like my dad, i dont want to desocialize and I'm kind of already there, its awful.
Which makes me feel like I was part of the issue too. I was trying to force connections with normie redditors that i had zero interest in and zero shared interests with. I also didnt like how the room gravitated towards the people with the most money. They werent the most interesting or most cool, it just seemed like they had stuff so everyone was extra nice to them. I really need to reel in the saltiness.
I'm from place and when you are from place, you have a little pride about it because you came from something so dysfunctional and shitty. But as an adult I'm realizing that bringing all of it with you isn't actually healthy and you have to leave some of it behind. It is a foundational peice of your life but it isnt your entire life and it gets in the way of growing.
But also, I do think coming up with money and healthy relationships drastically changes how you interact with the world, how to healthily make interactions and to sniff people like me out. Not really much you can do about your existence and vibe making other people uncomfortable.
