I think it’s either a bug or related to server load. I made a post on this community noting the same thing. It’s like instances are not communicating with each other right now.

I looked at the same post from 4 different instances and got four different results in both comment count and votes.

I just made a similar post of my own on this community. I’m seeing the exact same thing. It’s like instances are not speaking with one another properly right now.

I posted this same post on r/redditalternatives and got a similar response, that lemmy.ml is going through it right now and causing sync issues.

Just makes me paranoid that whichever instance I browse Lemmy from, I’ll be missing some content.

This just doesn’t make sense to me. I thought the entire point of all of this was that you get the same content regardless of which instance you’re on. But clearly, I’m seeing wildly different results. Why?
