I think it depends on the person. I’m usually fine with it but I know people who would be out of commission for two days after a single Doritos locos taco.

Not only do I agree with the comments talking about corruption, but I also just think that would slow fediverse adoption to a crawl. I’m 100% not going to sign up for something that costs money even if I could get it back. It seems like too much of a hassle and potential for losing money. It also seems like it may make it even harder for the less tech literate people to sign up.
These formulations are dairy-identical on a molecular level but without allergens or other unfavorable attributes.
I don't think the article mentioned it and I'm not really familiar with the science, so I'm somewhat confused about this comment in the article. Does this mean that people who are allergic to casein itself can eat their new formula, or is this just a weird way of saying people who are allergic to lactose and similar things can eat products with this casein?
I use Memmy as well, works perfectly as far as I can tell. I started on Mlem but when Lemmy 0.18 came out it stopped working for me. No clue if anyone else had that problem and I just missed seeing it but either way Memmy has been great so far.
