Yeah I was thinking how hard it would be to take a photo of tiny rodents like this. I only ever manage to get a quick glimpse while hiking. They're so skittish!

I've only lost one pet so far, and it was a family pet. I plan on having pets of my own in the future. Do you find that it gets easier? I didn't see our family pet regularly but it was still sad as heck when it happened.
