Well that’s great to hear for the conservation efforts, even if locals are mainly in it for tourism money. I definitely plan on visiting Brazil someday to experience its beautiful biodiversity and help support nature tourism to these vulnerable areas.

A pic of the red-tailed Amazon parrot, from the Full Report article. :)

On Monday, the Los Angeles Press Club and the investigative reporting site Status Coup filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles and the chief of the Los Angeles Police Department in federal court, alleging that officers at the demonstrations are routinely violating journalists' rights.

Happy to hear this! Plenty of video evidence that the whole world watched.

I would’ve said the tanning obsession, for health reasons, but that’s changed over the years.

Same, but I was born in the U.S. to parents who legally immigrated. I know we’re not being targeted right now, but I just worry about the possibility of going to war with China in the future. There were Japanese internment camps after all.

Didn’t see this one posted yet! Apparently shooting for a new movie, “The Invite.”

Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde rode BART for hours Tuesday afternoon, right in the middle of rush hour. Rolling between Glen Park Station and Daly City, the Hollywood A-listers blended right in with actual passengers on their way home from work.

“I’m a regular commuter,” Rogen told The Standard as he headed down the escalator and onto a BART train.

South Korea is heading toward a demographic collapse unlike anything the world has seen before. With the lowest fertility rate ever recorded and a rapidly aging population, the country faces a future of economic decline, shrinking cities, cultural erosion, and a vanishing workforce.

By 2060, nearly half of South Koreans could be over the age of 65, and entire regions may be abandoned as the population continues to shrink.

How did South Korea reach this point? Why might it no longer be possible to reverse the trend? And what does this mean for other countries on a similar path?
