The time of simplicity is over. That's a challenge but it's just more feasible for a 21 century setup. Old concepts are being challenged, that's messy but worthwhile. About time mankind came of age.

Has anybody ever wondered who is responsible for these megaprojects?

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's European and American architects and planing offices that do the planing according to the wishes of the client.

How convenient, they can move people around and are not even to blame.

Is there anything the old guy does except whining?

They are unfair, they are doing this or that....

It's embarrassing. Zero pity given.

Some say up to 100000 People have died for Neom Projects. The Line is part of it. It's crazy how the same Szenario happened during the construction of the Panama canal with migrant workers from the Antilles.

Maybe it's just the dis affectionate aspects of humans that I'm projecting..

I would like to see Vulcan fail.

Anyways it has been destroyed in DIS

but I haven't seen a kind of evolution with, maybe starting with Spock and Burnham, that they learned to appreciate emotion and affection again.

I don't get the optimism vs ambitious feud.

I believe you think that DIS is the most optimistic because of its emphasis on emotional depth.

And I guess we can agree that the part of ambitiousness is a default of startrek for as long as it involves creatures from all kinds of worlds building teams and manage to work together. Basically for as long as the federation aka starfleet is part of the story.

Then why is it not a problem if that ambitiousness is paired with "optimism" ?

A more multipolar world is worth a try, right?

Let me be the First to speak it out: Trump has ended the American Empire. He has ended Europe's blind acceptance of American superpower.

America will never again be what it was. That so called beacon of hope that Public relations Geniuses invented and never really existed.

So, yes thank you Mr. Trump for helping us to wake up and thank you for ending the American empire.

I hope the US will be able to look in the ugly face in the mirror and turn the page to real protection of human rights and individual freedoms.

Yes, I mean constitutional changes

He wants to make America great again. Greatness is a contested concept at this point

And thank you to all your supporters, who voted for you despite them paying the highest price for it.

USA is no longer wanting to appear reasonable. It has forever said goodbye to being the world police with limited liability. Instead it's now only after its own simple selfish gains. And it won't face other predators but instead work with them if deemed worth it.

The biggest threat to Europe is no longer Russia or china. The most immediate threat to European soil is by the us in Greenland.

I don't think that trump and Vance are going to stop short of what they announced. They will go for Greenland.

This time the roles are reversed. It's no longer the US saving Europe as in the World wars.

This time it might go all the way around that the US also invade Canada and that Europa has to find it's position to bringing them to their senses.

At the end of the day this means that borders become increasingly uncertain.

The question is what policy will prevail. Predator logic or community based on the protection of minority rights.

Btw. I favor the later but I'm also not a fan of the strict division of nations by borders.

Actually I do what I like. I just never want to go back to a regular employment.
