Its not lemmy, but their App. Yes, there are some closed source lemmy Apps that for some reason exist, which are (in this case) just Clones of other Apps like jerboa.

It is too decentralised to be taken down, but in especially non tech circles Torrents are like Satan to your Christian aunt

that Google was making Android closed-source

That's disinformation.

From reading the rest:

  • You released misinformation ( Google is just open sourcing the releases, but not the dev builds of AOSP. nothing about Apps, nothing about Closed sourcing)
  • You failed to read the comments on your post and imagined something here again
  • And now go on a rant about eSims.

To be honest, I think the problem here is not Google, but your inability to read.

Well, looks like my jump to Fairphone is earlier than expected

If you didn't have the portals, you could just play halo, which I'm doing now

About 1, it was always really fun having 2 ends of the maps as bases and just trying to hold it while trying to portal to the other. At least that's what I remember. The weapons were also fun (which I can't say about every weapon except from the fortitude class, since 1 aero's feels like a paint gun damage wise and the energy gun is an SMG, if someone took it and just completely ruined it for CQC by making the projectiles have the travel time of a sniper firing at 1km.), and the gameplay itself was way less ability centred.

Also, making the lore of a game „Its esports” is just so generic. Sure, turn it into a Gulag people are thrown into by the rich. Turn one company into the bad guy if you want. But not this shit

Its not very good

I mean, abilities? OK, why not.

Different classes? Well, ok I guess?

But like, I can't get into a match where anyone is using portals. In the only arena from SG 1 you can actually See some intent in being Portal oriented, but in all New areas they just dont make sense to usw. The Objectives are placed completely Outside of any Portal areas, and even where they are placed its just like „If you run to the other side of the Map and back, you can flank some random angle no one will ever use

And why make every classes weapon different?

Also, power weapons are just not worth picking up, every 2. Player is a bot, and the game itself feels pretty soulless with this corporate arena vibe that the finals have done better already.

TIL AI cant even replace simple repetetive Jobs many said it could replace

Dont get me wrong, LLMs are a great tech demo, but I just don't get why you would want it to do most of the things investors and employers want it to, if an excel template could do the same

And instead of them just paying some Money for some IT guy and an overseer to handle these templates, they pay 1000 times more so they can have a template that may do something right, but can also just randomly collapse

Glad to see im not the only one who thought this at first

Lucky for you

My voices just sometimes whisper my Name from far away, but all my thoughts of wanting to torture people still come from me

Arch is aimed at people who know their shit so they can build their own distro based on how they imagine their distro to be. It is not a good distro for beginners and non power users, no matter how often you try to make your own repository, and how many GUI installers you make for it. There's a good reason why there is no GUI installer in arch (aside from being able to load it into ram). That being that to use Arch, you need to have a basic understanding of the terminal. It is in no way hard to boot arch and type in archinstall. However, if you don't even know how to do that, your experience in whatever distro, no matter how arch based it is or not, will only last until you have a dependency error or some utter and total Arch bullshit® happens on your system and you have to run to the forums because you don't understand how a wiki works.

You want a bleeding edge distro? Use goddamn Opensuse Tumbleweed for all I care, it is on par with arch, and it has none of the arch stuff.

You have this one package that is only available on arch repos? Use goddamn flatpak and stop crying about flatpak being bloated, you probably don't even know what bloat means if you can't set up arch. And no, it dosent run worse. Those 0,0001 seconds don't matter.

You really want arch so you can be cool? Read the goddamn 50 page install guide and set it up, then we'll talk about those arch forks.

(Also, most arch forks that don't use arch repos break the aur, so you don't even have the one thing you want from arch)

Der dude will einen Server bauen aus einer r7 7900x, 8 terrabyte an m.2 ssds, und will eine costum WakÜ.

Das alles für 1,800€ damit er darauf ein paar Samba shares haben kann. Ein paar samba shares.

If you think you have ever felt true fear, you havent tried Gentoo yet

Apparantly, YouTube has fully rolled out their blocking of residential IPs. Things such as Freetube do not seem to be affected.

So, if you dont know, Apple has a Vulnerability on their Usb-c controllers (little chips that let the phone charge and communicate via the cable). And apparantly, thats the fault of Apple being forced to use Usb-C? Because... Like a billion Dollar corp that had over like 4 years to adapt to usb-c didn't manage to do it? Peak Capitalist dick sucking going on there.

Linux just gained another .13% usage, while Windows lost .23. Another win for Linux

Found a Video about the new Cobra Mk V, thought i I could share it

So, Powerplay. Its not about 2.0 or something, just about powerplay in its purest Form.

First of all, who is it for? Like, I currently am pretty much just grinding for a new fer de Lance right now, and I found no real way of making worthwhile money while helping my power. So is it like only for people who have money to spare?

Second, is it just about the merits, or do people actually fight for their favourite power? Most tutorials just go over earning merits, so is there even a community actually using powerplay as it was intended?

  1. Is there even any way doing what you like and supporting your power in the meantime, or is it just „do these hyper-specific things 50 times”. So, can I like make my power stronger in that system by doing missions or bounties?

I am very New to powerplay, but I did not find any guide to that, so I appreciate your answers

My question regards those little fighter hangars you get for bigger ships that can deploy small fighters, specifically on the krait mk2. I see the benefit for something like an Anaconda where you turn to the enemy for 90% of the time, but for the krait they have so little damage output that I dont see any benefit from just buying some hull reinforcements. Any suggestions?

Hello, I am looking for a 7 or 8 inch e reader which supports KOreader. I dont have to big expectations, it should just have a Touchscreen and preferably wifi so I can wirelessly transfer books to it. I currently use an old kobo aura, and ereaders based on Linux are pretty interesting to me, but i also dont really care if the device runs Android. Also, I would like to stay und er my budget if 250€
