iPhones have 17 steps, or 16 blocks to get to full volume. I don't know how exactly, but it doesn't scale linearly as our ears hear volume logarithmically.

This would happen if you switched to MacOS, or from that to windows. Literally between any two operating systems except for a lot of Linux distros because they're so similar.
This isn't made by valve. As I understand it it's very difficult to make a source game for Linux because the version of the engine that these devs can use is like, 10-15 years old.
