"And the PSL rebellion has been foiled. The remaining PSLists will be hunted down and defeated!" - Supreme Chancellor Trump, probably 2026

Don’t know where else to talk about this so forgive me for this not bring news, but I was watching Hasan’s latest vid about the ongoing escalation between Iran and the US/ Israel and many of the comments were criticizing people in there defending Iran’s right to national sovereignty and self-defence by saying stuff like “but Iran is aUtOritaRiaN unlike the free and democratic US!” and “but Iran doesn’t have gay rights and oppresses women!”.
It’s the usual liberal moralistic platitudes that get thrown around whenever consent is being manufactured for war against a US designated enemy in the Global South, but the fact that so many supposed progressives are still trying to justify the imperialization of Iran WHILE they are actively protesting against repression and the destruction of civil rights in the US of A just astounds me.
Just goes to show how deep the neoliberal brain worms still run in westerners, and it also revealed to me how many of Hasan’s own fanbase are still very much liberals.
Hopefully this means good riddance to what a former Australian Labor PM once called “the worst deal in all history” but it’s more likely the current Labor government will just accept whatever payment demands the US will throw at them smh.
Some specific details of interest about what was smuggled and how it was procured
Prior to entering the United States, Wen met with officials from North Korea’s government at a North Korean embassy in China. These government officials directed Wen to procure goods on behalf of North Korea.
In 2022, two North Korean government officials contacted Wen through an online messaging platform and instructed him to buy and smuggle firearms and other goods – including sensitive technology – from the United States to North Korea via China.
In 2023, at the direction of North Korean government officials, Wen shipped at least three containers of firearms out of the Port of Long Beach to China en route to their ultimate destination in North Korea. Wen took steps to conceal that he was illegally shipping firearms to North Korea by, among other things, filing false export information regarding the contents of the containers.
In May 2023, Wen purchased a firearms business in Houston, paid for with money sent through intermediaries by one of Wen’s North Korean contacts. Wen purchased many of the firearms he sent to North Korea in Texas and drove the firearms from Texas to California, where he arranged for them to be shipped.
In December 2023, one of Wen’s weapons shipments – which falsely reported to U.S. officials that it contained a refrigerator – left the Port of Long Beach and arrived in Hong Kong in January 2024. This weapons shipment was later transported from Hong Kong to Nampo, North Korea.
In September 2024, Wen – once again acting at the direction of North Korean officials – bought approximately 60,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition that he intended to ship to North Korea.
Wen also obtained sensitive technology that he intended to send to North Korea. This technology included a chemical threat identification device and a handheld broadband receiver that detects known, unknown, illegal, disruptive or interfering transmissions. Wen also acquired or offered to acquire a civilian airplane engine and a thermal imaging system that could be mounted on a drone, helicopter, or other aircraft, and could be used for reconnaissance and target identification.
There's a title coming out next year called Den of Wolves, which is literally a cyberpunk-themed Payday game. It's also made by the same devs who made GTFO and ironically used to work on Payday 1&2.
In regard to HD2, it's hilarious that the "not political" crowd on the one hand makes this argument that they don't like "current political issues" in video games/ media and on the other hand are currently going on racist Sinophobic tirades on social media about Chinese players holding the equivalent of Shanghai in-game atm better than any other Mega city on Super Earth because "they're brainwashed CCP propagandists who don't think like us superior free thinking whites".
They are winning when it comes to business relations, cultural exchanges, and general diplomacy, but Western are a whole different ballpark.
That social sphere is completely dominated by socially isolated Chuds who get most of their info from far-right echo chambers online or their already reactionary (usually rich) families. A quick look at HD2 Steam forums and you have all the usual "ebil CCP brainwashed bots!!!" spam.
The German Chancellor of all world leaders not understanding the goal of genocide, leading a country that prides itself on being the biggest understanders of genocidal dictators because "we did it before, so we know it best", is just pure schadenfreude.
Comrade, I have two questions for you:
Firstly, is there any party position or justification for allowing the ‘996’ work schedule to still exist, or why they don’t mandate lower working hours/ more time off? Surely with the absolutely huge labour force China has, and the fact that many Chinese workers have higher education qualifications now AND the fact that the they have a major youth unemployment issue because companies are incredibly selective and encourage severe competition in the labour market, the easiest solution for the party is to just lower working hours and outlaw ‘996’ regimens, which will encourage companies to hire more workers to fill the gaps in labour hours lost?
Secondly, does the 48 hour work week also exist in the public sector, or is it mainly limited to the private sector? Also does working for the Chinese public sector grant you additional benefits in the form of extra leave, more overtime pay, free public services etc?
And this point Trump should just bring back the gold standard to precipitate another Great Depression.
We're going to have a problem if you lay a finger on us politicians, but if you put your hands on the immigrants that voted for us, hey no problemo!
They'll feel sad about it after, but only for the US soldiers that died in said war.
