i totally get that but a competent leader could pull that off without gumming up the investigation by symbolically visiting it
no but the mayo clinic was on standby
people love their symbolic bullshit like, "yeah it would be nice to see the president go to the site" what that really means is it would be nice for the airspace to be cut off and traffic to be disrupted and flights to be delayed and the investigation slowed to a crawl while the security detail disrupts everything so that a guy can look around for a few minutes and be like, "yup, some aircraft sure did crash here!"
