Das ist aber auch im Kontext nicht richtig. Geringverdiener werden stärker belastet, ja, aber nicht durch Steuern, weder absolut noch relativ gesehen aufs Einkommen. Die Belastung dort kommt aus anderen Posten, die sich eben dann mit dem Lohn nicht mehr stemmen lassen (z.B. Miete und sonstige Abgaben).
Mindestlohn bei 40 Stunden / Woche kommt im Jahr auf ca. 1640 Euro Steuern für 2024 (NRW, Steuerklasse 1, kein geldwerter Vorteil, keine zusätzlichen Freibeträge), auf ca. 6,5% Lohnsteuersatz. Bei den 70k im Jahr liegt dieser hingegen bei ca. 18,5%. Hier ging es ja nur um Steuern. Nimmt man die Abgaben hinzu, bleiben dem bei 70k etwas weniger als 62% seines Bruttolohns. Beim Mindestlohn sind es dann über 72%. Diese relativ geringe Differenz ist natürlich zum Vorteil des Vielverdieners, aber wie gesagt, wenn man sich nur die Steuern ansieht, ist die Belastung im unteren Bereich sehr viel geringer.
Edit: die Werte sind mit so einem Onlinerechner entstanden, ich kann keine exakte Gewähr übernehmen, aber die Größenordnungen sollten stimmen.

Ich bin letzte Woche Freitag noch von Zug auf Flug umgebucht worden, wäre zwar wirklich lieber mit der Bahn gefahren (innerdeutsch), aber es hat nicht sollen sein. Nichtsdestoweniger wünsche ich allen Beteiligten viel Erfolg beim Streik!
Ja, allerdings hebt sich das natürlich nicht auf, es gibt wahrscheinlich sehr viel mehr Haushalte im unteren Bereich als an 70k. Letzterer zahlt im Jahr halt auch so 17k reine Lohnsteuer. Da machen die 40 Euro keinen riesigen Unterschied. Es sieht natürlich im Vergleich zu den weniger verdienenden trotzdem Scheiße aus.
Als Single ist man selbst mit Einkommen im Spitzensteuersatz heutzutage noch ein gutes Stückchen von Wohneigentum entfernt. Die Sache ist natürlich noch schlimmer für die mit weniger Einkommen. Aber die, die hier mit "haben Dinge" angesprochen werden, haben in Wirklichkeit gar nicht so viel, wie man meinen könnte. Da wird auch jetzt schon gut zugelangt, die Änderungen, die hier genannt werden, sind im Promillebereich.

It's basically the same time I started using Linux somewhat more. I didn't go Windows-free until 2007 though and then returned to Windows because I needed it for something with my Master's thesis. I kind of shudder at the thought how my old setups looked under the hood. You learn a lot in 18 years... Probably copy-pasted a lot of shell commands back then. But UT2k4 in its OpenGL glory was worth it
I think they're a great format to buy, but nowadays not that great to use. They offer the best audio quality of all physical media (fight me, vinyl enthusiasts), are really easy to handle (on par with cassettes), offers track selection (later cassette decks could detect silence but this doesn't work for gapless tracks), the equipment is rather cheap nowadays, it's a digital format without DRM... red book CD might be the best consumer media industry has ever created, my only gripe in the modern world is that its sampling rate is a bit off today's 48kHz.
However, I only rip the CDs to lossless and then rarely take them out of my cupboard anymore, don't even have a CD player. Using CDs in a mobile setting is a whole different beast, it requires a buffer and can also damage the discs in the worst case. But at home, pressed CDs live very long without any degradation in sounds quality, regardless of use. And ironically, buying them is often cheaper than buying non-physical only, though it often means that you end up with tracks you don't want. But that's an issue all physical media has.

Ich arbeite seit ca. 5 Jahren in einem Bereich im ÖD und eine meiner Kolleginnen war in der Zeit noch kein ganzes Jahr da, weil die immer Elternzeit war. Habe Kollegen, die sind vor knapp drei Jahren dazugekommen, die kennen die überhaupt nicht, nicht einmal virtuell. Joa, aber gesperrt bleibt der Dienstposten dennoch.

Schön, wenn die Wahrheit so einfach ist und genau in das eigene Bild passt. Ich frage mich, was die WHO dazu sagt?

Nun gut, die Lage dort ist halt auch eine leicht andere. Das Zeug der ausländischen Konkurrenz muss halt erst teuer eingeflogen werden oder langwierig per Schiff transportiert. Hier ist das Zeug per LKW aus dem möglicherweise weiterhin subventionierten Ausland am nächsten Tag da, und das dann komplett ohne Zoll.
One issue with rollbacks Arch has is that there's basically only up to three valid configurations available at any time. These are your current system configuration (oldest state), upstream repositories (newest) and your local database copy (somewhere in-between, though all three states can be identical, e.g. straight after Syuing). By definition, you can't convert your system configuration back to an older one because it's the oldest one of the three already. What you can do is mix your current oldest configuration with packages from the cache, older or newer doesn't actually matter. But you're not getting back the old state really, you're creating a new one that's different from Arch's repository.
A configuration on NixOS includes all exact package versions and their exact configurations. No exceptions.
If you actually need these guarantees is a different question. I used Arch for 15 years and never had significant issues. I switched to NixOS instantly after trying it on an old notebook and immediately recognized that the whole approach suits me so much better that I switched almost all machines over by now.
