I thought so at first too, but the longer I look at it the more I think it's a crack pipe. https://www.banyantreatmentcenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/shutterstock_2042174384-1000x480.jpg

Doing OK. Been getting my steps in every day and it's helping my mental health, plus the pup is very happy about all the walks.

If you hand someone a sharp object like a knife or scissors you will soon get into an argument. Gotta set it on the table for them to retrieve instead.

Ground beef prices are wild. I've been finding occasional good sales on ground turkey, sometimes even $1.99/lb. I use it as a substitute for ground beef in tacos and such, and it works well enough.

Meat. Chicken thighs used to be 99 cents / lb and ground beef was $2.99 but I'd wait for it to go on sale for $1.99. This was in 2020.

The silver lining is that the price hikes have resulted in eating far less meat. I eat around 1 lb per week of fish, chicken, or turkey (rarely red meat) whereas I used to eat probably half a lb or more daily.

Agreed. I live in an eclectic urban area and plenty of folks keep chickens in their small backyards. It's sort of hilarious to see social media posts of "One of my chickens escaped" and another further down "Yo whose chicken is this in my yard?" Folks always come together to share eggs during shortages. We need more of that.

Can confirm. The only inheritance I got was a funeral bill.

I'm obsessed with the texture of that tie. Where'd you get it?

It's called "I am Sober". Free app with a daily pledge and review. I've found it to be quite helpful.

Saved two CRT TVs that were slated to be recycled. One is in great shape and I hooked it right up. The other needs a lot of work, so that will be my project for a while.

Somewhat easily, but I also tan very quickly. I still wear sunscreen daily (even in winter) because my grandfather died from skin cancer.

I've struggled with this same thing for a long time and was diagnosed agoraphobic over 20 years ago. The best thing I've found that helps is Virtual Reality. It helps me practice being brave in social situations in a safe space, which then allow the skills to translate to real life. Maybe try it? Even if you can't afford a headset, you can still try it out by playing VR Chat on your computer or Horizon Worlds on your phone.
