I wish I new how to easily install an AUR package manager when I first started.
Step 1: go to the AUR and choose a package manager. I recommend paru, but there are plenty of others.
Step 2: install git using pacman
sudo pacman -S git
Step 3: copy the git clone URL for paru and pull it
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/paru.git
Step 4: CD into the new directory
cd paru
Step 5: install paru
makepkg -si
Now when you find a package from the AUR you want, you can easily install it.
paru -S [package]
Also, when you update your system, you only need to run paru -Syu
. You don't need to run both pacman -Syu
and paru -Syu
.
Why won't a disclaimer cut it? I didn't know that FUTO intentionally misconstrued the term open-source until now. What else am I supposed to do than admit I was wrong and correct my comment?
Thanks! I've added a disclaimer to my original comment. I was also mistakenly under the impression it was open-source.
Isn't this what happened with the banana game on Steam and the banana skin stock market that arose?
My Rotring 600 mechanical pencil, my Canon 2000 film camera, and my TI-36x Pro calculator.
- When it come to writing, I have never used a smoother implement, nor one that is constructed of such robust materials. For a long time I used a "nicer" mechanical pencil from Tลซl, but does not compare to the Rotring.
- My Canon film camera is old and not a particularly fancy model, but it takes excellent photos and perfectly exemplifies the authentic emotion of film photos. I use it when I go on adventures with my friends, and the photos are always fun and genuine.
- I have tried a dozen different calculator apps, and none of them are as efficient to use as a physical calculator. It does what I need to without the feature cramming that calculator apps suffer from.
Yes, they're conceptually identical, but the core gameplay is very different.
Play Factorio. The time will go by much quicker, and you'll feel productive and unproductive simultaneously.
It's a sweet, frothy, milk-like drink popular in Hispanic and Latin culture.
