  • In 1998, the Salvation Army refused to comply with San Francisco’s laws regarding domestic-partner benefits, costing it $3.5 million in city contracts and leading to the closure of certain programs for homeless people and the elderly.
  • In 2001, the organization tried to strike a deal with the Bush administration, which would have allowed religious charities that receive federal funding to circumvent local ordinances against anti-LGBTQ discrimination. (The organization also threatened to stop all of its New York City operations in 2004.)
  • In 2012, a Salvation Army branch in Vermont was accused of firing a case worker after learning she was bisexual.
  • Also in 2012, Salvation Army spokesperson George Hood said the organization views same-sex relationships as sinful. “A relationship between same-sex individuals is a personal choice that people have the right to make,” Hood said at the time. “But from a church viewpoint, we see that going against the will of God.”

Ah. Seems you misread what I said. I was referring to preparing your food as in putting the sauce on the pasta to eat it. When you cover the noodles in oil, the sauce does not stick

Then when you go to prepare it, you have oily noodles and separated sauce at the bottom 🙃

Hey I have one of these case sensitive Mac OS X stories as well!

I gave it a try one time, and I found out the hard way some developers don't test everything in a case sensitive environment. I don't remember what specifically went wrong, but Adium, The instant messaging client, blew up because it couldn't find certain files on the local hard drive.

Let's put that briefcase back in his hand so he can be left holding it when Tesla's stock tanks

I literally said that, but I was implying it doesn't often work with those all-in-one machines

And the water always tastes like shit out of these because they don't clean the tip. On the old style it was always sharing lemonade or Powerade and you could just run the line for a second or two to clear it
