From talking to some petit bourgeois types, I think the issue is that they more staunchly believe in the american dream than everyone else. I built my success. Lazy people are stealing my hard earned money with taxes and medicare. My family and my needs come first. As long as they can afford luxury goods they'll fully believe in themselves over others.

And the worst part is that some of them were immigrants who literally started at the bottom.

I think if capturing the western petit bourgeoisie is a goal it will be a difficult one. Most of the well read dirtbag leftists with the willpower to act don't seem to be able to relate to these people at all. And they seem more likely to join conservative trucker or farmer protests than anything with proletarian character.

While life is characterized by growth in a structured, functional manner, the necrophilous person loves all that does not grow, all that is mechanical. The necrophilous person is driven by the desire to transform the organic into the inorganic, to approach life mechanically, as if all living persons were things. . . . Memory, rather than experience; having, rather than being, is what counts. The necrophilous person can relate to an object—a flower or a person—only if he possesses it; hence a threat to his possession is a threat to himself; if he loses possession he loses contact with the world. . . . He loves control, and in the act of controlling he kills life.

Zelensky says he doesn’t need ‘primitive’ ideas from Trump on Ukraine

Full TextUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a Tuesday interview that he does not need “primitive” ideas from former President Trump on ways to resolve the war with Russia.

In an interview with Axel Springer media outlets, including Politico, Zelensky said he was open to hearing Trump’s proposals for the war, but, he said, “If the deal is that we just give up our territories, and that’s the idea behind it, then it’s a very primitive idea.”

“I need very strong arguments. I don’t need a fantastic idea. I need a real idea because people’s lives are at stake,” Zelensky added.

The interview comes after The Washington Post reported this weekend that Trump has privately said his plan to end the war in Ukraine would include pressuring the war-torn country to give up territory, including Crimea and the Donbas border region, to Russia.

The Post also reported that Trump’s purported plan has some foreign policy experts concerned that it would effectively reward Russian President Vladimir Putin by appearing to condone Putin’s violation of internationally recognized borders by force.

The reporting cited unnamed sources, including Trump advisers and people who have discussed the matter with the former president. Trump’s campaign did not respond to specific questions, but his spokesperson reportedly dismissed the sourcing.

“Any speculation about President Trump’s plan is coming from unnamed and uninformed sources who have no idea what is going on or what will happen,” Trump’s campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told the Post.

The Trump campaign did not respond to an inquiry from The Hill.

Politico reported Tuesday that Zelensky spoke respectfully about Trump — the presumptive GOP presidential candidate this year — and said he was eager to build a constructive relationship with him.

Politico also reported that Zelensky has urged Trump through intermediaries to visit Ukraine and that Trump reportedly expressed interested but has not indicated whether he would make the trip. Zelensky has previously invited Trump to visit Ukraine.

This is old but relevant again with the news about Israel-Iran escalations.

America controls oil. Not only does it produce its own oil, but it’s just been able to block the rest of the world from importing Russian oil, and it’s been able to blow up Nord Stream. And now it’s pushing Israel to essentially act as another Ukraine. It’s pushing Israel to incite Lebanon and Iran into a provocation, into a military response to the Israeli attacks that is going to enable Israel to do what a Senate majority leader, the Republican leader, has been pushing for, and what Biden is pushing for, and what the neocons have been pushing for for 20 years, war with Iran to grab the oil reserves of what were Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Libya. And if it can control the oil reserves of the Near East and be able to block off their energy exports to all the other countries, just as it’s been able to block Russia’s oil exports to Europe, then it can control the industrialization of other countries because industry basically runs on oil and gas. Industry is energy, and without energy, you’re not going to be able to have your own industrialization independently of the United States. So the U.S. foreign policy, as we’ve talked before, I think, in our last show, for 100 years, the United States has used oil as an attempt to control the world’s economy.

I guess Hezbollah was restrained enough they went right for the throat.
