I think it happens if you make the right checks during the dance rave sequence? You pass out and hear voices.

And also shes a board member of the company that hired a fascist death squad that has literally literally no experience outside of committing gruesome sexual and physical cruelties on colonized peoples, to "deal with" a workers strike.

She's very sneaky about her responsibility and involvement in that stuff, its easy to overlook while she makes jokes about being a great wyrm upon a hoard of the worlds wealth or something, what that actually involves.

Of course! He talks about economic responsibility to people who are suffering so badly from the economy they are blaming a supernatural curse for their misfortunes!

Its a neoliberal wet dream. I have to assume somewhere in the thread they are gushing about the vision of a future IKEA-fied Martinaise that the new ZAUM added with the photo mode update.

Was there an ethical obligation to share the defibrillator?

The answer is not obvious.

Next paragraph.

Officials and experts said there was apparently no legal obligation for the de Young to share the device.

They highlighted several complicating considerations: What if the staffer had lent it out, and minutes later someone at the museum collapsed and needed it, they asked. And why should he lend it quickly to a distressed stranger, not knowing if it was a thief trying to make off with a device that usually costs around $2,000?

What if two people at the museum collapse at the same time and require defibrillating? What if the thief actually needed that money to save 3 lives?

I know what motherfucker ghostwrote this drivel.

They've rationalized it in a "My enemies got mad and lost their temper therefore I am vindicated" kind of way.

The fact that the game mocks their beliefs merely reinforces the enlightened status of those beliefs.

Someone with some insight might take away something from the fact that their preferred ideologies are both absent and omnipresent from the actual characters of the game.

The prime rep for ultraliberalism is a cynical billionaire whos company has just sent in a fascist death squad to resolve a labor strike, and anyone else who might be described as an "ultraliberal" in the game are literally on the shit tier of society either grifting for scraps or just completely delusional.

And moralisms prime rep is a literal occupying warship, followed by a bureaucrat who bullshits you about the economy while secretly engaging in sexual relationships with someone living in a filthy decaying slum, and finally Kim who deliberately refuses to engage in any serious politics and therefore doesnt really count.

Edit: Just remembered Trant, whos technically listed as a moralist on the wiki I guess but whos also an apolitical coward more than anything, and a crypto-social democrat.

The actual people of Martinaise are neither ultraliberals nor moralists, makes you think huh?

I think its just "oh u mad?" type vibes, the bad people talk about globalism therefore globalism is based now.

[–] [email protected] 78 points 2 years ago

The whole setting is cope and seethe by commies about how based globalism is.

You can't talk to a person like this, what can you possibly say to someone who goes "I love bombing a country into perpetual poverty and exploitation where children listen to snuff radio and do drugs, thats so based" except how-compelling

Pretty much, the organ harvesting claim in particular originally was based in the falun gong belief that(Disclaimer: This is not a bit) their spiritual practices literally made their internal organs superior in quality and impervious to disease or physical ailments(This leads into their belief that modern medicine is unnecessary and a satanic communist tool) and therefore the Communist Party harvests those organs to make their party elite live longer.

This was later transplanted basically wholesale into the idea of "halal organs", the claim that there are muslim elites who refuse to receive organs from anyone who has not adhered to halal requirements in their lifestyle, and therefore the Communist Party are systematically harvesting organs from the Uighur muslim population to sell on the black market, presumably to the muslim nations that stand with China.

There has as far as I have read never been any evidence to support either claim that isnt either a claim of personal experience or a "whistleblower" statement that also is exclusively a personal claim of experience, unless China also is running a whole black market supply system of immunosuppressants and other post-transplant support medical care, you would see very obvious signs such as consumption of those medical supplies being obviously higher than recorded transplants.

The only signs like that that has been pointed to is that China has a notably short waiting list for organ transplants from what I have heard, but thats basically where the supporting evidence begins and ends, no further investigation has borne fruit.

Tbf I think the game dev said that there is no "good" endings in the sense that theres a true best case scenario, none of them are very pleasant.

The community just decided that one was the good one cause of the promise aspect.

This is an animal hate crime of a game, jesus.

Its like when people pointed out the bad implications of Resident Evil 5 of a big white military guy being targeted for lynching by hordes of dark African men, and then later in the game literal tribals wearing human bones, but with the animal life of Africa instead.
