Even plastic-backed phones are all around this weight now. Even the smaller phones are getting heavy!

I'll admit, the marketing names are hilarious, even if the tech is good and makes sense.

Holy shit, that is a great deal regardless of where in the world you are. How'd you get it so cheap?

Tough as hell, good to great keyboards, Trackpoints are the bomb if you do work in an enterprise environment (more text than graphics)

That's why all enshittification usually starts because of publicy-traded companies, or companies trying to go there. We're mostly here because Reddit wanted to go public.

That's awesome, I just subbed to this community after stumbling on a post in the general feed. Looking forward to everyone's posts, and I'll share when I can!

Welp, whatever goodwill and sympathy I had for Israel just went poof. Less than 24 hours too, gotta be a record for them.

Yay! Love Steam Next Fest. Just need to find some time to try the demos.

Xiaomi is probably the least affiliated of the lot, and they still offer a bootloader unlocking tool. Huawei on the other hand...

I don't like how the knee-jerk reaction to anything China-made is, but I guess the Chinese aren't helping themselves.

Don't use Xiaomi apps if there are alternatives. The browser is one of the most annoying POS ever. The launcher too. I just swap out as many of the defaults as possible and use a debloater tool to remove all the unnecessary crud. Unlike Samsung's bloat, the Xiaomi ones are annoying too.

It's a tough situation, but much of our progress has been on this ponzi population scheme, and it's just not sustainable any more. A population that's a pyramid (ie significantly more young than old) is an ever-growing one, and currently we're pushing the limits of sustainability as it is.

I do believe that a complete overhaul is in order, not just infrastructure, but how our economies and societies work.

A lot of point-and-click adventure games do feature female protaganists. One that comes to mind that's not bee mentioned so far is Kathy Rain.
