I'm pretty sure that's how Hulu started. A joint venture through several companies to stream all their shows. Problem is once Disney got in everyone else tried to spin up their own and cash out of Hulu.
It'll be investing to see what alternatives crop up one piracy makes it's comeback.

While I would argue 99% of kitchen gadgets are dumb, wastes of space and resources, I will forever swear by having a cereal bowl with separate milk reservoir. Adding cereal a couple spoons at a time let's me actually enjoy cereal at a reasonable pace and not worry about rushing it getting interrupted while eating it. If I didn't have one, I wouldn't eat cereal at all.

Once upon a time it was worth it for me too. But since every service is running up the rates, I had to decide which, if any, deserved my money. Google didn't make the cut. I have a feeling nobody will by the end of year
My Disney price went up and I didn't get the email warning. No message or warning in app. After having their support tell me "too bad" I just cancelled it and Hulu.
Dense as fuck but so meticulously crafted. Still, as much as I sing it's praises, I would only recommend it to a narrow selection of people.

Yes if EVERYONE was able to vote 3rd party knowing there was a chance it would help we could be out of this situation. First past the post doesn't encourage that though. Until we adopt a system of voting that encourages people to actually vote with their heart instead of holding their noses, we will be stuck

Were votes for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein worth it in the 2016 election? Neither candidate secured 5% of the vote. So nobody got funding and the nation got Trump as president.
In my opinion those votes were thrown away. They will continue to be thrown away until we get rid of first past the post voting.
