They're all doctors, but the ones who have any kind of conscious have to look people in the face every day and say "Your insurance doesn't cover this medicine you absolutely need" and they HATE everything about their industry.
I know a couple and, it's a very hard job. They get squeezed from every side. The corps they work them over fuck them constantly on hours, staffing, everything. The insurance companies constantly create problems that prevent them from doing their jobs. And then they get flak from customers. It's a lot of hours, a lot of very "If you fuck this up someone dies" work tyhat requires a lot of attention to detail, they have to manage generally overworked and understaffed pharma techs.
It's not going to break you down like a hard labor job, but it really is an "if you fuck up someone could die" job with a shitload of fake obstacles placed between teh pharmacist and their job.
Also, Pharmacy protip; Pharmacists are doctors, and technically your pharmacist is your doctor. If you've got a cool pharmacist you can and should ask them for help if you have any questions about your medication or treatment. They may also be able to help with insurance bullshit, or help you find discount programs, voucher programs, and other resources to get medication at reduced prices. They (should) be on your team, they're not just filling bottles.
