Hi!~ I used to post on here a lot more but in December I lost my job due to transphobia and things have been slowly just getting worse. I haven't been able to find a replacement job yet and I've turned to SW and that still isn't paying all the bills. Any amount will help and I'll be out shipt shopping today to hopefully make rent. Thank you so much for anything, even just reading this! trans-heart

Exactly this. By living there they are upholding the genocide. Just as living in the US is.

They're making fun of him for not crashing the economy? That's our job.

We are shifting as a culture further rightward and one part of that is policing bodies. This is one way they do that. Fatphobia is such a big "in" for fascist thoughts to start rotting people's brains.

I feel like this is the step right before they ban it nationally just in general. Be sure to stockpile your hormones. Also, now is the time to get connected to your local trans community. If it doesn't exist already, start a groupchat with all the local trans people you know and have everyone add all the trans people they know. We're going to have to start sharing our stockpiles and other ways to take care of each other.

The only reason I've considered getting a Twitter is to advertise online "sites".

Didnt Disney release a movie saying this same thing back in the 90s?

Depends on what your oath is. It's not just swearing to good but the oaths are swearing to a concept.

The best way would be to look for immigrant rights groups (not non profit, but of and led by immigrants, they exist) and go to the meetings they have that are open to the public. Outside of that I'd just google mutual aid groups in your area and get to know people and ask around.

I'm curious if any hexbears have had good luck doing online sw and if so what are some good practices/websites to use/websites to stay off? I'm thinking of making an onlyfans and I'm not sure if that is the right website to use. Also I don't know how much work this will be to market for it, does anyone have an estimate of how much effort this type of thing takes?

My gig work has been failing lately and I'm needing to find other ways to make money unfortunately. Assuming the fetishizing of trans women will at least pay a bill or two.

I'm going to start this with the heads up that I am a Marxist. I've seen a lot of sectarian complaints about FRSO on the internet but those always fall so flat to me.

I'm looking to hear other organizers experiences with FRSO in their city. I don't mean anything against them on a national scale but in my local city they are ruining the organizing scene and I've heard they're doing similar things across my state. So I was curious if they operate in the same way other places.

From my experience with them, as an org, they don't value decolonization and think that will happen after the proletariat revolution. But what this causes is a lot of white faces that speak over marginalized peoples to ignore their plights and turn to class reductionism. This has pushed a lot of BIPOC people away from organizers at all as FRSO is one of the loudest orgs in our region.

They've also had members join all local grassroots groups to either co-opt or if they were unable to co-opt they create a parallel org. For example they sent members to our tenant union meetings, when they learned it was non hierarchical they made a separate "socialists for tenants rights" group that did a lot of the same advocacy we've been doing for years, just louder and wrong on a lot of information about rights.

They also have issues with any action they put together being a 3-4 hour rally of speeches all of which feel like lecturing the people about problems they know they're facing. Which they then put marginalized speakers at the end of their rallies so the marginalized people have to wait until the end to show solidarity to their people.

Idk, I'm ranting but I could go on for a long time. They do a lot of work in my city to reduce revolutionary momentum (whether on purpose or by accident doesn't matter) and I'm just curious if that's just the local chapters messing up or if they just are bad for the movement as a whole organization. And what has worked in your cities to kind of prevent their takeover?

Here's a good essay about some of their failures.

Hi, I'm a long time poster here. I've been here since before we moved from reddit using various names here and there. I used to be more active(I ran the project zomboid server we had for a bit).

I haven't been posting much because life's been really hard and I was hoping to ask for help. Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, I haven't done this before. I lost the best job I ever had ~2 years ago when I first came out and I had another job over the past 2 years that has barely been enough to keep my head above water but I just left that job due to transphobia. Now I'm unemployed and I had plans of doing Uber/other driving gig jobs but they fell through due to an old dui on my record. I'm donating plasma for money, but if anyone else has any ideas for gig work(preferably WFH) or would be able to spare some money to help me out that would be amazing.

Thank you in advance!

What are your opinions on using transgender vs using transexual? Ive been seeing more trans feminine people use transexual to refer to themselves these days and I thought I had it figured out but im confused. Originally, how i saw it was transphobic dolls trying to distance themselves from the rest of the transgender community at large. But the more i read about trans theory and talk to trans women, im finding more and more "cool" trans women calling themselves transexuals. What am I missing?

I had a friend post his channel and say that he likes his content. I know that youtube history is often an alt right pipeline, so im wondering if anyone else has looked into this guy? I dont see anyone really calling him out online but he might just be not popular.

I can watch the videos myself and come up with an opinion but theyre over 2 hours long so id rather not.

My only yellow flag so far is that he has a book with 88 in the name. But thats not enough proof for me.

I finished this book a while ago and it really blew my mind. I'm a trans woman and it completely changed my understanding of my own gender and my understanding of gender as a concept. It's given my a new understanding of the ways I may have been perpetuating harm and ways to change for the better. It was just a life changing read for myself and my cis wife as well.

My question is why don't I see this opinion more frequently in the world? I've almost never heard someone use the term effemamania even though it feels so accurate to what's going on so often. I googled it and I don't see much real critique of it other than a single reddit post. Is there some big problem with the book that makes it not actually a good book that I'm missing? Or is it just more or less ignored for some reason?

Also if anyone else has read it I'd love to hear your thoughts too. Sorry if this is the wrong comm. trans-heart

Yesterday the Michigan Police ran a man over to kill him for fleeing from them. Rumors around town on social media are that they pinned him against the wall with their cruiser.

I love playing videogames with people but the further I get in my transition, the less I have in common with my old friends. So I was wondering if there are cool public queer discord servers or is there a hexbear gaming discord? If not, would there be interest in that? I've played project zombie with a handful of hexbearers and it's been fun. I don't know if this is a weird question to ask.

I'm looking for a job and have no idea where to look for some sort of data entry job. Everything I see comes across very scammy or extremely contested. I've been unable to find work for about 3 months now and I'm starting to think there aren't any work from home jobs out there at all.

We've got a bunch of new people now so let's bring back a classic post. What low stakes conspiracy theory do you believe that you cannot prove but feels right to you?

I'll start: I believe that dating apps have made a concerted effort to smear in person meeting people and tie it to being "creepy" through social media so you are forced to meet people online(which was the creepy option just 15 years ago)
