Anyways, there is experimental support, my dm proposes an experimental cinnamon wayland session and usually that means that the devs are seeking feedback. If the places with discussions on the topic seem to be quiet, it means that not enough people do test it and give feedback. Doing your part can indeed accellerate the process.
