There's a short term rental place here that rents out mostly Up!s, it's not a bad little car. Merging onto the highway can be kind of exciting though.

Being used to driving a Renault Kangoo definitely made it feel like I was driving a clown car though!

That hella depends on the kind of tree. Just had a 9 meter hazelnut tree in my back yard cut down to about one meter. Not a leaf left on the thing. Couple months later and it's already back to two meters with a lot of leaves on it. it's expected to be back to about 6 meters next year.

Try that with e.g. an oak though and it'll not go as well.

While a neat picture, as I understand it the itchiness of wool mostly has to do with how long the fibers are. With short fibers there are lots of fiber ends poking out of the fabric everywhere. Alpaca or merino wool has much longer fibers, avoiding this issue.

A dutch bicycle. Made from steel, with a kickstand, a chainguard a dynamo and internal gear. Built to last.

If you want to spend slightly more, go for one with a hub dynamo. Those have way less resistance, and don't have a tendency to stop working in snowy weather.

this sort of really briefly works if the observer is nearer the new location. Light from the new location reaches the observer before the lack-of-light reached the observer from the old location.

still would only work for the tiniest amount of time and confuse no-one, but then this isn't hard sci-fi.

I'm still on the original google pixel, and I am dreading the day I'm forced to upgrade. It has the backside fingerprint sensor, and is in general pretty much the platonic ideal of a smartphone.

I mean... doesn't the soap get washed as you use it to wash yourself?

I feel like I have to point out that Xorg is neither unmaintained nor deprecated. It is old as tits though.

you will end up bringing down production or make a however many tens of thousands of dollar mistake. Don't worry about it too much when it happens. That sort of thing doesn't usually get you fired the first time.

It's great for keeping rust off tools. Just the slightest whiff of vaseline will keep rust away for years. I tend to use a spray can of vaseline for that though, not a tub.
